Bad stoppage? Do you want these guys to get seriously hurt? Stoppages are a good thing man. Why is there always someone complaining about a bad stoppage? The guy went down what 3 or 4 times, had rubbery legs,a glazed over look in his eyes etc This **** is too dangerous man. The Ref's have to step it and stop the fights. Khan fought hard but was getting caught with some wicked shots on the chin and skull. That fight needed to be stopped before Khan was hurt really seriously.
The ref asks the fighter to do all that so he can evaluate whether or not he is really able to continue. Similar to a cop giving a field sobriety test to a drunk. The drunk says he's fine to continue driving, so the cop asks the drunk to preform a test. If the drunk fails the test he doesn't get to keep driving regardless of the drunks arguements, because he might seriously injure himself.
Bayless gave Khan TWO very long counts, and honestly shouldve stopped it AFTER THE FIRST KD. Anyone complaining about khan being stopped too early is full of ****, Bayless gave him nearly 20 ****ing seconds after the first KD, thats right khan wasn't ready to until nearly 20 seconds.
Khan got 18 second on the first knockdown and he STILL couldn't put his hands up when Bayless asked him to. He looked down at his hands as if he was thinking 'what are these things?' Should have been stopped right there. Stop the whining.
When Bayless was asking him question Khan speech was slurred. Look at the replay. The guy was surviving on instinct. Khan was still ****ed after the 10 count and all the time Bayless spent asking him question. It was a good stoppage.
Ok, Khan had to his feet and said he wanted to continue, but sometimes common sense has to prevail for a man's safety. He said he wanted to continue but his face told a different story, his eyes were glazed and his legs were all over the place. I've got alot of respect for Amir and he clearly showed a tremendous amount of heart, but Bayless would have been justified in stopping it after the first KD and Khan's legs and senses never recovered after that. I thought the stoppage was a little late but i trust Bayless in that situation, the man is very good. I don't want to see someone die in there, it's the referees call to make and i'm glad he stopped it when he did. I thought Roach might have pulled him out tbh, he was taking a severe beating towards the end and it was pretty grim viewing.
If Khan had of been allowed to continue i think he would of just took more punishment before finally succumbing.
didnt you watch! khan won the first 2 rounds maybe not dominating but won it convincingly and if the round stopped before the knockdown i am pretty shore can would of won that. dont get me wrong i personally dont like khan. garcia deserves the victory, because he was patient and got the counter
