What a farce. All of the sudden Lucas turns into Malignaggi overnight and is throwing nothing but jabs and is pulling his power shots? I guess I should've seen it coming. That fight was a farce and Lucas was probably paid to go down and stay down in the 7th round. I'm not even sure that final uppercut even landed and he's taking knees before that? All of the sudden Pac has this tremendous power @ 147 when he hasn't had a KO in NINE years? Laughable.
There was no tremendous power on display, Matthysse is just extremely fragile. Look what Postol did to him. He was dabbing at the same eye after the first knockdown, maybe worries over that played a part in his decision to quit. No dive, he was just totally out of his depth.
Margarito, Clottey, Mosley, DelaHoya all took dives against Pac, so its no surprise that Lucas would too. Its all in the $$$$$$$$$$$$.
Yup. Boxing is business and Arum & DElaHoya staged many FIXED FIGHTS to make the Pac vs Mayweather supershow.
GGG vs Canelo was also a FIXED fight too. Both threw fake punches in the air and missed on purpose to come up with a draw.
Idiotic post. Lucas was throwing bombs in round 1 and was getting close, but Pac's game plan was to take his soul from round 1. Pac made sure to let Lucas feel his power and speed from the opening bell, which made Lucas look for the one big shot. Then the punishment added up. Lucas quit just like Rigondeaux — frustration, not pain from a beatdown.
No, it was a clear dive for $2 million dollars. The only KD that was legit was the first one. The one in the fifth round the right hook didn't even land, and neither did the three jabs preceding the right hook.
This content is protected I think Lucas was just a shell of himself. Compare this Lucas with the Lucas that fought Danny Garcia. Sure maybe Arum signed the fight with inside knowledge Lucas wasn't the same Luke. Lucas looks like the oldest 35 I've ever seen lol damn.
Tony Margarito never took a dive in his life. He NEVER quit in a fight either. Manny's sudden power in that fight was extremely suspicious
Weren't people accusing Matthyse's opponent in his last fight of taking a dive? There were vids all over YouTube saying Matthyse KOd him with a phantom punch that only hit air. It's pointless to obsess over this kind of stuff because you'll never be able to prove it one way or the other.
