Frankly, I'm surprised they're not bitching that there was only a second left on the clock, despite the fact that Mayorga was about as knocked out as it gets. The only thing that woulda made this KO better is if Mosley was losing. There's nothing quite like a last-seconds, come from behind KO. Of course then you would CERTAINLY hear the bitching about the time left. Anyway, great KO. Not quite Weaver-Tate, but in the ballpark.
Me and Steward were thinking the same things. I keep repeating the KO over and over and I could have sworn ive seen Ray Robinson KO some mofos the same way from videos ive seen of him on youtube. Shane did the 'Sugar' moniker proud tonight.
Very reminiscent of Mosley's welterweight debut against Wilfredo Rivera... Mosley showed flashes of brilliance here and there but he also got outworked for enough rounds to make it a very close fight going into the final round.... Then he left no doubt and KO'd the opponent. ****ing awesome.
It was a classic finish to a rough, grueling fight. I think a lot of the bitching and moaning has more to do with how everyone placed their bets more than anything else.
last left hook was a boomer. i have never seen mayorga actually get koed like that. he usually gets beat up to which he has no reply so they stop it...but that final left hook was so sweet.
