Violence and fights? What are people talking about? Unruliness, yes, Uncontrolable, maybe, but no fights. I was ringside, a couple of guys got over excited when he got knocked down and rushed to the apron edge and wouldnt listen when asked to move but there was no trouble, no fights and no slaps thrown. Furys younger brother, Shane, was shouting at them to leave and then usher them away during the round interval. Lets not make a mountain out of a mole hill. Reminded me of Willie Casey v Emiliano Salvini.
To be fair I think quite a lot of the crowd weren't actually listening to the MC and were talking over him whilst he was explaining the Joe Frazier tribute. It would have been better had the PA system actually alerted the crowd that the MC was going to make a special announcement and would only proceed when the crowd were all listening.......or at least the MC should have requested a bit of silence before he started. Last night I'm sure many in the crowd didn't even know what the bells were ringing for. Perhaps a better way of getting the crowds attention and cooperation was to play a short montage of Joe Frazier on a giant screen.......and then asked for a minutes silence as the bells rang. Either way......It wasn't well managed last night.
I do think this will hurt Fury in the future. I like him but would I consider going to one of the shows he's on? Unless it's outside of Britain, I wouldn't. If he ever gets in a position where he's fighting someone with a big following and he loses, it'll be complete chaos. Even if he was on a bigger card, with Groves or Bellew headlining for example, his set of fans and another set would undoubtedly kick off at some point. It's a shame because Fury seems like a decent lad. I'm just completely put off by his fans though.
id love for him to fight wladimir klitschko and for them to kick off at ringside when he gets raped and for vitali to join in and start cracking some skulls
Who the **** was big levi in the whirte shirt.... :rofl **** off and tarmac some roads you ****....:yep
I think the issue with the Fury fans is being exaggerated somewhat. It looked bad on tv yeah, but we could only see his family ringside who were obviously emotional. Those who were there, Wallet and Slap, knew of no issues at all so maybe we leave this one there.
Point is as soon as they spotted Fury in trouble, the wanted to cause drama and if anything get the fight stopped for him to recover. Why are brain dead dickheads running upto the ring and even his brother jumping in it as soon as bell ends. Would a footballers brother or friend have a right to run on a football pitch after a bad tackle ? It's ****ing embarrassing for the sport, and the pack mentality these scumbags have is whats most disturbing. Imagine going the the fight with a girlfriend/wife or taking the kids, you got people trying to create a uneasy atmosphere. Mick encourages it also, this is just another reason why so many boxing events don't sell out.
I agree with you. His brother needs a word with himself, but apparently he stopped trouble kicking off later on. And even though he was right in focus that's still only one person. All this 'Fury fans kicking off' bollocks is exactly that.
