Khan has good speed and power and awkwardness, but his achilles heel will be exploited by somebody who can punch
Khan fought a pretty damn good fight last night.Doing mostly everything well in there, and taking his time. I admit,a realy thought Malignaggi would be able to out box Khan and take a decision. I dont think Paulie expected Khan to take his time like he did.I think Paulie's plan had Khan coming forward and Malignaggi feeding of that. When Paulie seen that wasnt the case,it looked like a lost cause. Congrats to Amir.
Khan's speed and reach was too much for Malignaggi. He needed to be extra slick but he could not do it. That being said, Khan has a lot of bad habits. He has a tendency to jump in wide open. He still reaches at times to get a straight punch in. I am going to reserve my opinion of him until he fights guys like Bradley, Maidana and especially Alexander - who is fast, technically savy and strong. And a reach of 71".
Khan k.o.'d ortiz in the amateurs in the 2nd round ... but that was along time ago ... I found it funny when khan said he was hessitant to go in because PAULIE was landing some good shots ... good fight .. khan got skills but his chin is oh sooo iffy
Bull**** stopage ? I think not, did you notice pauli throw those pathetic two punches after the ref grabbed him ? he was glad it was stopped. He had NOTHING left to offer, other than being legitimatly knocked the **** out. It was a perfect call to stop it, no one had anything left to prove.
No ortiz would get shown up badly. He performed well last night against nat, BUT if he pulled that style with kahn, he would be sleeping within 7 rounds. Ortiz should stay well away from kahn, it would be a career ending fight for him , just as he is re building his career.
