    What a weird fight.

    Did Thompson just go mentally?

Klitschko was a cut above mind.

The last 4 or 5 minutes were really bizarre.

I think Thompson was a combination of tired and mentally lacking in confidence. He was looking for a way out.

Thompson was done. I think the clinching may have sapped his strength and the right hands really discouraged him.

Thompson looked like he had given up after the 9th. An remember folks, these are two of the best conditioned heavies out there ATM. And they were both totally gassed. It wasn't like it was a fast-paced fight either.

    No.

He just was too tired and too hurt and wanted a way out but could not think of one.

thompsons corner made an already demoralised fighter even more morose.

thompson was looking for a way out

Richie Woodhall, commentating for Setanta, pointed out that Thompson needed g-ing up in the corner and instead just kept getting roasted. I feel it's a valid point. Thompson looked lonely in the ring. I don't think his corner helped him, particularly.

Thompson just left himself open and then refused to get up on time, because he just didn't care anymore. There was no desire whatsoever.

Indeed, they were awful. Not only did they take the wrong approach and fail to realise the state of mind their man is in, but the advice wasn't even constructive from a tactical viewpoint

    Sounded like a crackhead too.
