    Ah, i'm in that most privalidged of positions where the haters are telling me I nuthug him and the nuthuggers are telling me I hate him.

    I like that, it usually means I got the fighter about right.

    Thompson's gameplan was to get Klit's gassed out..
    I guess he didn't keep in mind that he himself was going to get gassed.

    Once Klit's didn't punchout as expected or should I say before Tony..
    then the **** hit the fan for his plan.

    Oh yeah And Klits right hand...lol

    Hmm!:think I usually favor fighters from the past to beat the new guys but your definately right in that character is actually the most important gift for boxing; and great character can be produced at any generation:good

    Thus, if King Kong fights Mickey Mouse and wins, that is more impressive than Ray Leonard's gallant in-the-trenches stand against a determined Roberto Duran?

    If you are seeking to analyze fights and fighters, you must look far beyond the W/L ratio of both fighter and opponent.

    Yes, although circumstances limit it more now than then. Europe and the US are affluent societies. Rich men don't beat poor men, so to speak.

    Here's a non-riddle: what do we call modern boxers who demonstrate a high level of skill and combine it with effective aggression?

    Answer: old school.
