I can't believe that people still don't give Trevor Berbick his due for beating a prime Ali. Disgraceful.

I'm sure the thread starter would agree with me.

Whether it was age or covid or both, he was shot to pieces.
Yes, he was already shot in August. Not as completely shot as this time but shot nonetheless.
Dillian Whyte went 1-1 against a very shot old man. How much credit should he get for that ?

Whyte got lucky last night. He got a shivering Povetkin, up to the gills in exotoxins from the china flu. And in the 2nd round when Povetkin was hurt and they both were swinging for the rafters he could easily have been caught with one of Povetkin's own haymakers, a couple of which weren't far off from landing. So a little reckless there. All in all a par performance for me. Nothing to gloat about. Job done.

yeah I thought that was obvious too, was literally in the first minute of the first round and he looked shaky from there on.

I have to agree to an extent. Povetkin was shot to pieces when he sparked Whyte in the first fight. Made the KO all the more remarkable. He did look particularly bad last night though, with zero balance from the offset so maybe it was Covid related.

I hope Povetkin got well paid for the rematch as he deserves the pay day, which is all the fight was for him.

Probably was off with the Covid, it's got long lasting effects for a few months. But then Whyte did drop him in the first fight, so you can't say he would have taken those shots if he was healthy. Whyte was 5 pounds lighter and looked fast and explosive to me.

I'm a big fan of Sasha but I always knew one day someone would be good enough to expose him like this and it took Whyte to do it.

How do you mean about " exposed "?
I clearly had posted that he should had retired when he was 37 y.o cos started go over the hill.
Yeah, he won Rudenko, Hammer and Price and already this wasn't prime povetkin anymore.
I then had noticed that his legs are starting to go over the hill.

I will explain why Povetkin had been ranked by boxing orgs and boxrec and the ring in high places.
Prime Povetkin had lost only vs 37 y.o Wlad in fight for WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles. Pove wen all distance and wlad then had been ranked also by the ring as No1 cos he had 3 belts from 4 available main boxing orgs belts and had been ranked #1 by boxrec too, if I'm correct.
Pov then looks that after this fight had been ranked No3 - No4 by some boxing orgs, some ranked him as #1 below champ in Wlad etc.

Then already over the hill Pov had lost vs A.J but he again didn't dropped in rankings heavily cos A.J was WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champ.
