The two main concerns I’d have would be the scoring, and the threat of a British stoppage.

 

I m not even sure promoters should have that authority to hand out contracts rematch clauses/stipulations etc anyway imo. It should be decided by the governing bodies. Boxing must be one of the only sports where the guys making the decisions have such an ulterior motive. Do the small unbacked guys even have a chance. You,ve to go up against a super champion on short notice. If you best him you,ve to rematch him at our home turf. With our judges. Our ref. Our fans. Our drug doping agencies.

Its a bit like even when the so called little guy wins...he ends up losing anyway. Its all decided on who has the best promoter. In a sport like boxing where people can die in the ring its embarrassing that people with ulterior motives have that much control over things imo.

Joshua should be facing him in america if it has been a so called bad night at the office anyway. Feels like a hollow victory if he does beat ruiz this time.
