Just as I was sitting here, basking in the warm glow of my latest triumph, counting my winnings from Felix's victory, and thinking to myself:

"You know what Len, it doesnt get any better than this"

    - then you show up, all pissed off and bitter doing your hilarious "Mr Angry" routine.

Thank you Solaris, thank you for putting the icing on my cake this weekend.
    Yee Haw!

Barker should stop crying and put his big boy pants on. You lose and you want to retire. We all know what is going to transpire. If in fact he retires, he will unretire and try to make a comeback. What is this the twilight zone. A fighter loses one fight and it is over? Hello, back in the day fighters can lose three or four and become champs, the lose two and become a champ. Too much is being emphasized on being undefeated. I hate to use him, but just say Mayweather loses his next fight, he is finished people! Also, this thread is suppose to be about Barker yet some are talking about what's his name, Murray.

Barker can still make some money in Europe and get decent paydays. It all depends on how bad his hip is and whether he really wants it or not.

Do you guys reckon Sturm didn't take Geale seriously seeing as how Barker handled Geale?

I thought Sturm was lucky to get away with a draw in that fight.
Murray's performance looks even better to me when I watch Sturm v Macklin and Sturm v Murray back to back.

Looks as if there is a chance that Golovkin can get a fight with Geale now and Kirkland. He will knock both out, but would sell tickets..............in the meantime, Sturm will not fight Golovkin, nor Quillin and Martinez...........

I think that's most likely, but also, and as I said elsewhere, you have to bear in mind that the two round blowout of Barker really did flatter Sturm and exaggerate Barker's flaws: Barker clearly wasn't a 100% in there, and that seems to be the case seeing what's been said in the days following the bout.

Surely after last weekend Macklin is the best British/Irish middle?
I mean the BEST and most valid yardstick by which you can judge Murray-Macklin-Barker is Felix Sturm.
Macklin and Murray fought "the same" Sturm.
Murray clearly lost, and Macklin won, even Felix agrees. (forget judges here - Im talking about what actually happened)

Macklin and Murray fought "radically different" Sergios.

Other things that underline Macklins superiority is his overall career cv.
Won British title by crushing ko.
Won european title by crushing ko....etc etc

Macklin can vary his approach, adopt tactics to meet the occasion, Murray is a one-trick pony....
