Hi guys, havent been here in ages but I finally finished this years uni exams so what the hey. Today I decided to treat myself to a dvd and bought this random one called "Thats Boxing". It goes over the history of Australian boxing from the very start up until Kostya Tszyu won his first title. I have to admit I have yet to follow the current local scene, but it was really interesting to see all these great boxers most of whom I have never even heard of. It is very detailed clocking in at 3 hours long and it goes over many boxers and their significant bouts. There are interviews with most of the boxers and a couple of great stories. There is lots of suprisingly high quality fight footage from before the war and its really interesting to see how boxing has changed. Seems like boxing used to be a huge sport in Australia and some of the boxers featured are truely world class. I honestly never thought we actually had much of a boxing history. Anyway if you are even remotely interested in that sort of thing I highly recommend it.
