You are implying that,Cotto LOST to the best guy in the division now,Khan was EXPOSED by a guy who no one knew much of him
The only reason he is under the radar is because of nationality, if he was born in the US he would be the next coming of Jesus himself.
"He's taught me so much in eight weeks. In another two or three fights I'll be untouchable, said Amir Khan. Presumably the fight against Prescott was 2 or 3 fights too soon then. Prescott is a limited and slow fighter, but, as we saw, a big puncher. Splat and Amir's dozing on the canvas. If Frank Bruno could win a version of the world title, then Khan can. He'll have to be very cleverly matched though. Nobody who can punch need apply to be an opponent. He's just signed a 20 fight contract for Sky - no ****er's gonna pay to watch him now!!!!
Mayweather seniors comment about Cotto only demonstrates that his opinions are as ever not worth listening to. So why you think quoting him backs up your argument is beyond me. Not sure if you were watching the fight but that was not a fighter who quit because he didnt fancy it. It was a fighter who gave everything he had and had nothing left. can you not see the massive difference in those two scenarios? i do however agree that the comparison with Calzaghe is equally ludicrous. which reminds me, since there seems to be such a ******ed fondness for knocking boxers based on nationality, especially from americans against brits. i wanted to ask who all these exceptional american boxers are at the moment who are cleaning out every division? (probably a seperate thread methinks)
yet people called Zoo a quitter for what happend in the Hatton fight? He fought with a broken jaw yet was still labelled a quitter by many.
people have got to stop comparing khan to these top world class fighters he is serveral leagues below them, i have no respect for khan as he talked so much hype and he ended up losing before i even expected him too, i thought he would of atleast fought for a world title before losing, hes a disgrace i am from england and i am ashamed we produced and allowed such a fighter to be hyped along and believed to be a great in the making!
or maybe margarito was a lot better than everyone thought. does'nt detract from cotto's quality as a fighter. floyd sr. should be one to talk, the guy was a dime a dozen as a fighter.
