Erm, I think there's a whole load more people talking about Ward than Bute.

Ward just got himself into most people's top ten P4P list, and he's most likely to win fighter of the year.

The only time people are talking about Bute is when Ward's name is mentioned.

 

Who cares about the belts? Ward is the champion now and that's all that matters. I'm no fan of his, but if the others want to call themselves champ, he's the guy to beat. I think it's fine that Bute has to test himself against Froch first. About time he got a decent opponent.

Agreed. I think it could have been worked out in advance. Who knows. Maybe Froch submarined Ward by getting Bute to commit.

I don't know about zero chance. I'd be picking Bute, but not so confident as to give Froch zero chance.

It look like people just discover Ward , one week before the fight they were 3 threads about Bute and only one about the Final , something a find ridiculous even if i'm a Bute fan.

There is a lot of Ward's thread on ESB (Super 6 in general have been well covered here).

Of course he might have less fans and less haters than Bute...but I haven't notice a huge disparity in terms of number of threads...

You measure the popularity and fame of a boxer on how many threads about them on the first page of the ESB forum? You're saying in the last two weeks there have been more Bute threads than threads about the super six final?

 

I would expect that to happen. You cannot leave the number 2 of the division out of a tournament and not expect a question about him at the end of it. Ward is number 1 but he won't be the man until he faces Bute.
