Fury was not out cold or unresponsive in the 12th. It feels great to see it that way and appreciate the recovery. However, it simply wasn't the case. Watch the video. His eyes are open the moment the camera fixes on him, which is around the point Jack Reiss bends over to begin the count. He adopted a very specific position on the canvas, arms out either side, legs sprawled. His senses were intact. Wilder's combo did nothing but knock him off his center of balance and onto the floor, and from there he chose to take some extra time to recover. If in any doubt, see how he got up -- clear eyed, on firm legs, and then went on to dominate the remainder of the round. People have always had the wrong idea about Fury's chin. His chin is absolute granite. He has never been shaken or wobbled or put on shaky legs or shown any infirmity whatsoever after receiving a punch. His high center of gravity, however, allows him to be easily knocked over. Look at the Cunningham knockdown; he goes over, takes a moment because he's such a gargantuan man, and then gets to his feet, seemingly unaffected. It's the same in the Wilder fights. Fury's head, his brain and his senses, are largely unaffected by being knocked down, it's only his body that goes from vertical to horizontal.
The idea that Fury's chin is 'granite' is utter nonsense! You do realize that Mariusz Wach, a guy as tall as Fury with a similar high center of gravity, has never even been down, despite taking far more power punches from some of the hardest punchers in boxing? Fury's 'high center of gravity' excuse will not pass. Getting dropped by feather fisted boxers like Nevan Pjakic and Cunningham dispels any idea of Fury ever having a 'granite' chin. What you probably mean to say, is that Fury has one of the best ability to recover from damage. Which is totally different from flat out having raw durability chin (AKA Mariusz Wach). Getting dropped and being able to recover from damage every time, against all types of opponents, is evidence of not 'granite' chin, but top recovery ability. Which can stem from various different things such as endurance, cardio, good healing system inside the body and etc. Someone with a TRUE 'granite' chin won't even go down as frequently as Fury does, especially against non punchers.
It's a specific description of his limb placement. If you know Tyson Fury, you know that he is not against making dramatic exhibitions where simplicity will suffice. Let's bear in mind that he wasn't knocked the **** out, which is the whole point of my argument.
Yeah like I swear the guy was snoring....dude was screaming omg he has done it!!! lol...then he hears the 6 count gets jolted back to reality out of nowhere. What a fight. Too bad about the result.
**** off, the count was fine. You are repeating a bull**** excuse from YouTube black supremacists and casual fans who know nothing about the sport.
I did not think Fury was really hurt in those 2 KDs. He was more off balanced that solidly hit/hurt. Wilder was swinging in all night hitting nothing but Fury's farts. Fury's bob/weave was world class !
You children really want that 2nd Fury knockdown to be something more than it was. He got buzzed, lost his balance and fell over. All this talk of 'out cold' then miraculously appearing on his feet with full faculties just means YDKSAB.
"I will beat Deontay Wilder and let him keep his belt" Tyson Fury Btw Fury's strategy is to lay on his back longer than normal if he gets knocked down he says fighters try to get up too early and their legs are not there. The exact same thing happened in the cunningham fight watch fury just laying on his back when he gets knocked down. It's a disgusting disgrace that they robbed fury of his great moment in history.Shame on america
I'm not sure you can say America should be ashamed, people usually get the right decision, it's just that GGG and Fury got seriously jobbed recently, but that's more to do with the governing bodies than anything.
Kovalev, GGG and Fury all badly jobbed defending undefeated records. It's not America's fault though, it's just boxing. But, we can't pretend America is any better any more, it isn't.
If you look through my post history you'll find if anything i usually follow a eddie hearn narrative. I just had no emotional investment in the fight, unlike you which is clear from your response.
