Watch all the die hards from the General start flocking.. Most didn't even see the fight but will join in on this
I'd rather a MMA dominate someone on the ground than watch a boxer run and hold all night while his opponent is chasing and reaching..
Go tell that to the multpile Brazilains and non Brazilians (sorry BJ) , who have won the world championships in Brazilian Jui Jitsu What a dick ....................... Bye :hi:
A punch is, again, the most primal and exciting form of fighting. Had Silva been actually competitive with this guy and sunk the triangle in, then fine. But don't act as if this wasn't the most completely cheap and shittiest way to win a fight, let alone one that for every reason you should of loss. Silva just got his ass kicked. I don't even care for Sonnen, but ya, that's the way an MMA fight can end.
doesn't that make MMA special? You have to be EXTRA careful no matter how much you're dominating the fight.
Lol, Silva pulled it out like a true champion. Sure, **** on his performance, he said he was carrying a rib injury, and he didn't look comfortable in there. How can you hate on him for winning though after he showed such tremendous heart? Sonnen was the one who tapped out with not long left in a fight he was handily winning. After all the **** he talked you'd think he was one of those guys who would rather go to sleep than tap. His performance was great, but he was the one who showed no heart when it was tested.
You gotta be kidding to try to compare someone landing a bomb to end a fight compared to a fuking submission a female could perform with proper training.
If he didn't tap and there was no ref he would have been choked out until he was dead, do you understand that ******? that's what boxers don't want to admit... a submissin means death or broken limbs.
I thought the wrestling was what killed the fight as a spectacle, not the submission. That was probably the most exciting moment of the fight. Something needs to be done to stop wrestlers being able to dominate like they seem to be doing more and more lately.
If you don't like submissions, why do you watch MMA? You shouldn't. This is actually the weirdest thread I've ever read on this forum. How the hell can an MMA fan react like this to a perfectly legitimate submission victory? I don't understand this at all, it's complete dog**** to me. This is the same as a boxing fan making a thread about how it's disgusting that Julian Jackson knocked out Herol Graham, saying it's a "cheap shitty" knockout after all Graham's good work. But how can something be cheap and/or shitty when it is perfectly legitimate? I honestly think you should stop watching this sport if this is how you feel. It's a bizarre and ludicrous position to take.
