Gavin looked good. Good range of punches. Just lacks power though.

 

This might sound controversial but i'm not overly impressed with Gavin.

 

Good varied punching by Gavin, especially the bodyshots. His defence was a bit leaky, and he needs more power. But, oh well, it was his debut...

 

Barry was practically saying that Thaxton should have been given the verdict because it was his home town and he was coming towards the end of his career.

 

yeah think that sums it up.

the guy was keeping it dead tight though.

but he does look a little lightweight on the power.

 

I would have to agree.

But, its only his first fight and he had the bad cut to contend with.

He needs to tighten the defence a bit. The lack of power is a bit of a concern also.

 

He had it Thaxton 105-103 up going into the last round, and during that round said that he gave it to Mezaache so I guess he had it 114-113 Thaxton.

Good effort from Gavin's opponent, Frankie probably didn't expect to have to work that hard, but he was firing away impressively by the last round.

That spanish guy made Thaxton look good!!

If they cant bang them out in the first 4 rounds, they are in trouble.

 

Haha I always insist I only judge these lads off their fighting, don't give a shít about 'personality', but Degale is already testing my resolve

 

This guy has won 1 in his last 7 that is fighting DeGale........

Should be easy, but will he impress as much as sutherland?
