Thaxton v. Romanov

i'm really not sure. thaxton hasn't looked very good since taking the title but he may just not have been motivated.

hopefully being the underdog inspire him to put on a career best performance, because thats what he'll need if he's to beat romanov.

should be a good fight though!

 

Romanov will control the fight with his jab. Thaxton brings little more than a warriors heart, and decent power these days. I'd say he's close to shot

Romanov will wear Thaxton down with his cleaner , harder shots and force a late stoppage .

I think we're in for a real war and Thaxton could give him hell for a a while but I think the Belerussian will have too much .

 

My brothers are going to this one as its on at the York Hall, not sure if I am yet. Even if I end up just watching it on Sky I am so looking forward to this fight.

Both seem to have a healthy respect for eachother and there doesn't seem to be any of the usual pre-fight trash talk.

Perhaps being the challenger will bring the best out of Thaxton. If he puts in a good performance he could come out of this fight with a lot of credit even if he loses. I hope he can pull off an upset and will be supporting him 100%.

 

This was originally going to be in Norwich, but seeing as it's the York Hall I may go myself.....

 

If I can re-arrange some other commitments I have earlier that evening I will also be going.

If Ramonov Is as good as you guys say then Thaxton won't last the distance and will heavily be outclassed.

 

I was there for his last fight, I think it's a quality venue and the fans and atmosphere will give Jon a real boost.

 

Romanov has that touch of class that Thaxton doesnt have. I think Romanov wins.

thaxton is a solid underdog though.

 

I think Thaxton will do well for himself in this one but it all depends on which version of Romanov we get. I will go for a surprise Thaxton KO. I never did really rate Yuri.

 

Romanov W12 or if he's in top form he may get the stoppage.

 

I've never been to the York Hall before. Think its sometimes referred to as 'The Home of Boxing'. Not being huge probably gives it a more intimate atmosphere.

 

When is it - are you going Elle? I've boxed at the York Hall in my second fight.... Great place... minging changing rooms.

 

Romanov by late stoppage, i expect this to be very simular to the Rees vs Kotelnik fight, Thaxton doing ok but Romanov being a bit to much for him.

Shame for Thaxton he blew his big money fight with Khan. Khan vs Romanov next.
