Yeh, of course, I'll look forward to Romanov's bright future then.

Ok, but to clarify I'm not saying that Romanov is sh*t.
He's methodical and a sharp puncher, but he is limited and will have problems getting near a good boxer.

Before the fight I said it'd be very close, and I'm annoyed at Thaxton for ruining what could have been a good fight and making it so easy for Romanov.

Bobby Vanzie was a very good boxer if I remember rightly, yet Romanov had him down five times. I sometimes wonder if people's memories only go back to when Khan turned pro, and anything before that was irrelevant.

It will take more than just a good boxer to beat Yuri it will need to be a good fast mover.... like Khan. Bobby was a lovely punch picker and an excellent fighter but he was a bit static thats what led to his defeat Vs Romanov.

In reality my vote would have made no difference to the outcome.

Thaxton was completely out of his depth against Romanov.

Feel bad for Thaxton - the cut he suffered was horrendous.

On the plus side I got to go to the York Hall and see a superb Romanov in action. I hope he can go on to succeed at world level. :good

Yes he does carry his left low and he does move in and out in a straight line but thats my point. Romanov is a steady distance closer and will move in and find himself picked off as khan fires and steps back.

True but AM boxing has groomed Khan to be very adept in this department. Plus Romanovs footwork is a bit hit an miss. Khan IMO would be fast enough to fire and get away but the fight won't happen.
