Just read on BBN that Thaxton will be defending his british lightweight title against Lee Meager sometime in June...

I don't think Jono has put on a good performance since he beat Meager for the title, and my gut feeling is that Meager will manage to take his title back with a UD victory. Whats everyone's thoughts on this one?

Would love to see Thaxton win this and get the Lonsdale belt for keeps.

If you are talking about sky they are showing last weeks Williams vs Quintana. Ok fight if yoy missed it and with all the fuss Williams had been blowing on Esb and everywhere it is good to see what all the fuss was'nt about.

Good little event in Sheffield with the local de-da's, some good prospects on the bill. Billy Boyle is very entertaining.

    Paul Williams v Carlos Quintana

I was worried when I cancelled my Sky Sports subscription that they would start to get the top fights. I was wrong to worry.

Klitschko v Ibragimov is the only big-ish fight your missing cause of it .

Even Froch's World title eliminator is on ITV 1 .

Infact Sky must be pretty pissed , Froch has been built up most of his career(bar a few fights at the start on BBC) on Sky , and as has David Haye .
Yet when the big fights come around they've jumped ship to other channels .

Although I suppose Sky could have shown Haye's last fight if they wanted to .

But they didn't. Showing pre recorded bouts is not what they should be aspiring to, and it's a shame they have lost the plot.

    RIP Sky, Hail Setanta.

    Hail Setanta?

Hope you managed to resolve the problems you were experiencing with them.

Well, we have come to a mutual understanding. I still pay my subscription fee, and in return they supply me with whatever sort of service they fancy.
I should be grateful they still want my custom. How were they to know that my idea of "live" and "coverage" turned out to be different to theirs?
