    Amazing, when you consider his style. LaMotta is the oldest living champion. I believe the record was Schmeling who reached age 99.

    It is surprising that he made that long, given the hammering he took in the ring and his lifestyle at various points.. Wasn't Lamotta a guy who enjoyed smoking cigars and drinking ****tails? Not sure. But congrats to him for making it this far.

    We knew the bull was tough but he really is tough .happy birthday champ. I suspect that Duran will go on in a similar fashion.
