    I
have just learned with sadness that the great Mike McCallum the Body Snatcher has died and gone to greater glory. May his blessed soul rest in perfect peace. Such a fantastic fighter. 2 wins standout for me when he defeated 2 of my favourites. Specifically him knocking out my hero the great Don Curry and Michael Watson. What a fighter McCallum was!

Tragic news. Far too young a death at only 68. Exceptional fighter and a good man, one of the best of his era and the best ever 154lber. Rest in peace champ.

Very sad news. McCallum was one of the finest, well rounded, and most skilled technician that graced in the ring. Never got the same amount of love as guys like Duran, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns had at the time but he still got the appreciation and respect from both aficionados and fellow fighters. Boxing will miss this great champion.

    RIP The Body Snatcher

Damn! Not that you expect these things but this one comes as a real shock. What a shame he was an amazing fighter and has long been one of my favourites. I always loved his style he threw every punch in the book and it all looked so smooth and effortless and is a joy to watch. Nice guy too. RIP, champ

So sad to see another legend leave us. One of the most well-rounded technical fighters you'll ever see.
