Hey, the writer clearly states, that he was just focusing on fighters of the past.

boxers like Toney, Holyfield and McCall are still fighting so they were not included in that list...

btw, Ali is clear superior to Tyson in taking unbelievable punishment without going down...

McCullough and Ben Tackie had chins chisled from granite. Suppose they're not high profile enough for this list.

In boxing there has been so many great chins over the years , like Morales , Hagler, Chavez, Ali, the list goes on , some of these guys had amazing chins. But imo if you wanna assess the very best, you just have to go with the obvious ones , you dont have to be very insightful and try and make a point here. Imo Lamotta and Mccullough are the 2 that had the most remarkable chins ever. In rounds 11, 12, and13 (mostly 11 and 12) of their last fight, Robinson tested Lamotta's chin in a way that might never be surpassed. And remember, Robinson went onto KO never-before dropped Fulmer with one punch.

Jake Lamotta and Wayne McCullough , you cant go wrong with these 2 here imo

Marciano shouldn't be as high as someone like LaMotta or even Gavilan. LaMotta should be higher. Fullmer got KO'd with one shot, and they don't have a McCullough or McCall on there? I consider that BS. I think they were going with more of a "Best fighters with the best chins" list than simply "Best Chins". Then again if Marciano is on there so should Ali be.

Hagler at #1 is a just choice though.

Maybe so, you have to give Tyson's chin credit though. With his style, once te skills and head movement start to diminish, Tyson is taking plenty of shots. Before the very end of his career , when you can visibly see the hart is not there , he took tremendous punishment before going down.

Ali probably had a better chin though

Ali had a great ability to roll with punches and diminish the impact as well as great recuperative powers when he was hurt. He had better recuperative powers than Tyson, but not a better chin in the sense of being able to flat out take a bomb flush on the chin without much effect. When he got hit flush (Frazier, Cooper, Banks) he went down from one punch. Tyson took flush punches round after round from guys like Ruddock and Lewis. No way would Ali have been able to take those shots.
