I was bored and penned this. Granted, I understand that the time frame was arguably the least exciting in heavyweight history. That said, does anyone strongly disagree with these choices and does anybody believe any worthwhile fights were left off my list? I was contemplating Jones-Ruiz, but I honestly believe the other 10 fights I listed were better, even if there was some sort of historical "significance" following Roy's win. Thoughts? http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=25222&more=1
Not most of it but surprisingly, I cannot recall ever seeing Byrd/McCline. :huh It must have squeaked past me. I'll have to watch it soon, if it's that good.
Byrd McCline was horrible, so was Golota-Byrd for my money. Where's Wlad-Peter? Now that was exciting Wlad was shakey and we werent sure if he'd get sparked but was by far the best boxer. Lewis-GRant was short but brutal Where's Sanders-Wlad, it was over quick but it was exciting. Williams-Tyson was exciting, as was Tyson-Golota, none lasted long. Chambers-Dimetrenko was good. Haye-Barret was exciting with multiple KDs. Danny WIlliams-Potter was 1 of the most dramatic fights - watch it
Pretty good list, can't argue :thumbsup I haven't actually seen Byrd-Golota. A while ago I was watching through Byrd's fights but didn't get up to the Golota one Its just a list of title fights, some of the fights you mentioned weren't for any belts
-It was actually a surprisingly good close fight as I recall. Been years though but yeah, Byrd certianly gets hurt and dropped early. Good list. :good
Alright...so I'm off to watch a classic best of the decade pretty good horrible fight right now and if I can find it I'll let you all know what it actually was. Or more likely I'll just get sidetracked and watch Hearns/Benitez or something like that.
