The 10 fighters you would most liked to have had the privilege of seeing in action from ringside? E.G.[Personal pick probably alter tommorow] Dempsey Louis Johnson Ali Robinson Greb Duran Langford Moore Pep
Charley Burley Sam Langford Tommy Ryan Bob Fitzsimmons Barbados Joe Walcott Terry McGovern George Dixon Harry Greb Mike Gibbons Holman Williams
Foreman Tyson Ali Monzon Johnson Dempsey Robinson Tua(his power is brutal) Max baer was a showman Joe Louis Marciano etc
In my mind the idea here would be to learn something. Watching any fighter live where there is clear modern footage already available would be a waste.
I think that is a valid point. Following that criteria my list would be something like. Fitzsimmons Jeffries Burley Greb Johnson Langford Griffo Sullivan Gans Walcott Joe
Daniel Mendoza Tom Cribb Henry Pearce Jem Belcher Jack Scroggins Tom Sayers John L Sullivan Peter Jackson Harry Greb Maxie Rosenbloom Honorable Mentions Barbados Walcott Holman Williams
Sullivan Peter Jackson Fitzsimmons Greb Johnson Joe Walcott Rosenbloom Jim Mace Terry McGovern Marvin Hart.
Tiger Flowers. Harry Greb. Tony Zale. Dutch Sam. Tom Cribb. John L. Sullivan. Joe Louis. Jack Dempsey. Rocky Marciano. Henry Armstrong.
I would see it as being my duty to select the fighters that I would be able to add most to our knowledge of the sport by viewing. I might even agree to let somebody else go in my place, if I thought at their observations would add more. My list therfore focuses on fighters who there is no/little film of, and who are important to the history and development of the sport: Tom Cribb Tom Sayers Jem Mace John L Sullivan Peter Jackson George Dixon Terry McGovern Tommy Ryan Barbados Joe Walcott Harry Greb Would anybody suggest different choices given my criteria?
