They could, but then it could get cluttered. I'm hoping for some good responses and a discussion for each division. Hopefully it doesn't die in the ass and get 3 responses per thread, in which case the threads SHOULD all be fused together.
Unlucky. Harold Johnson-Ezzard Charles Harold Johnson-Eddie Machen Billy Conn-Joe Louis James Toney-Evander Holyfield Ezzard Charles-Joey Maxim Joe Frazier-Muhammad Ali I Micheal Spinks-Larry Holmes II Gene Tunney-Jack Dempsey II Jersey Joe Walcott-Ezzard Charles III Larry Holmes-Ken Norton Off the top of my head and witout restricting myself to one fight per fighter, that's what I got.
Good picks. Off the top of my head I'd definitely add Holyfield-Bowe I, and perhaps also Ali-Folley or Ali-Norton II.
Patterson-Moore would also seem like a very good candidate on paper, but from what I remember Moore didn't show enough in that particular fight for it to count. The same could be said about Walcott-Louis, I suppose.
You could definitly add Ali vs Frazier I. A master, although not technically correct, boxer against arguably one of the finest swarmers of all time in a fight where both men performed to their best of their styles capabilities.
