How many of them will finally fight either each other is a better question. I got sick of these fat ****s sitting on their 0's three years ago. The heavyweight division is beyond boring now.
Mansour straight up ducked someone can't remember name but refused the fight when offered he's not on it at all the lad. Charr Fighting Nascimento (Fury's opponent earlier in year).. Ustinov Actually has seemed to off really gone down in quality rather then up which says it all. FuryA baby in HW terms and beating 3 undefeated fighters has shown he's not hiding. Helenius Like Fury is pushing himself a damn sight more then others. Perez His career hasn't taken off at all since PF, Think he's decent but wouldn't go overboard. As of yet not really facing the quality a fighter of his talent and experience should be. Wach Starting to pick it up but 31, 2012 he really should be knocking on door of European/World title scene rather then fighting likes of Gavern and McBride. 2011 a decent year for him though. Pulev Pushed on really early and getting wins against decent names. Nothing special IMO. Povetkin Hard to see him getting beaten in next year if he plans fights against likes of Holyfield. I fancy some of lads in list to beat him and that included a motivated and diciplined Fury. Ortiz Not seen anything of him but looking at record he's not faced anyone. Time for a step up in action. As for who remains unbeaten, They all can it depends on level of opposition. The likes of Fury may well lose a fight soon if he continues to take risks. Unlike Ustinov and Mansour. Unbeaten records for these boys shouldn't be important now it's about progression and taking challenges. Sadly i only see 2-3 fighters really doing that...
Every American I talk to on my usual forum always bangs on about Deontay Wilder. I've only seen a few bits of him here and there on youtube....thought he looked pretty poor. Anyone here have a better knowledge of this bloke's ability?
Seen Ortiz once and he looked very good to me, but his career hasn't ever taken off. Deontay Wilder is going to be star heavyweight i feel
The Heavyweight division absolutely sucks, it's the weakest it has even been and interest in the division is at an all time low. Being completely honest I don't blame or expect the prospects to face each other, the division is so lacking in depth that if they actually took the fights they need to become legitimate deserving contenders for the title, we would probably only have 1 title fight per year because their are so few prospects and contenders at the weight.
I haven't seen most of these prospects, so can't really judge. Fury and Helenius need to hit the gym though and work on their technique. The hw division has always been one of the weakest in boxing, but because of the Ali era people think that it was always brimming with talent. Oh yeah and British heavies have always sucked. I'm not sure why Britiain (with over 60 million people) and America (with over 300 million people) cant provide 5 great heavyweights each. Then theres all the other countries. I dont buy the "all americas great athletes are in the nfl", because that is an absolute tiny amount of people who actually get in the nfl. It might just be as simple as, boxing just isnt that popular anymore. Compared to how it was.
