Bentt never held any of the titles in question.

    Was Schulz champion ?

And what were Seldon's achievements "years before" he took that dive against Tyson ?

He beat a horribly washed-up Tucker (who I never thought particularly special to begin with), he beat that tubby guy Hipp, and who else ? Ribalta ?
    Got KO'd' by McCall.
    This is just from memory.
You'll have to remind me what Seldon did.

Sounds like a top 15 ATG heavyweight.

He did more than to deserve the being number one on that list.

I seem to remember Lennox having a LOT of trouble against a "washed up" Tucker.

there is a difference between potential and accomplishment.

    regarding Seldon and Tucker.

SOMEONE has to top the list, I had to designate someone as "the worst".
You're free to tell me who you think was worse than Seldon.

I think Lewis is overrated. But I cant remember him being troubled much by Tucker. Even Lewis's fans dont heavily rate the Tucker win though.

Thing is, Seldon's best win is probably the win over Tucker, who didn't even deserve to be top-10 ranked by that time, IMO.

He won his VACANT title against a 41 year old Holyfield.
Was lucky to get a gift decision against Fres Oquendo, IMO.
He couldn't punch, and beat some very unimpressive challengers, in unimpressive manner.
I thought he was a bit of a joke as a "champion".

WBC-Maskaev has been a terrible belt holder. 1 fight in 18 months and that was against optional Peter Ohkello :-(

He's a decent sized underdog against the goat herder so his 'reign' might come to an end.

Well, i guess it's time to refresh your memory and rewatch that fight then. Lewis knocked Tucker down and won just about every round. A clear domination if i've ever seen one. Tucker had a grand total of two moments when he got off some punches, and both times, Lewis came back the same round and hurt him.

Ken Norton should be on the list. He couldn't even win the title in a fight, only by sanctioning bodies manipulations.

Ruiz is underrated he shouldnt top this list. Most fans had him beating Valuev and Chagaev past his prime. He beat Rahman, Golota, Holyfield, Johnson. Decent resume all in all.

Didn't Spinks avoid Norton for the tilte? Yes, he did. Otherwise Norton drills Neon Spinks, and becomes champion in the ring.

No, Ruiz did not beat Chagaev. Chagaev won that fight.

FACT: Norton did not win the title in a fight, he was awarded it by a sanctioning body instead.
No irrelevant excuses will change this fact.

I think Ken Norton was jobbed out of the REAL championship in the 1976 fight with Muhammad Ali.
And even if he didn't win the WBC in the ring, he made a spirited defense of it against a prime Holmes (close fight).

So, I think Norton was pretty good.
