Let Amir reach his peak, which i still think is a good 18-24 months away, then im sure he beats a prime fatton

Khan's lack of ability to fight (especially defend) on the inside, and his mediocre footwork costs him dearly in this matchup.

Hatton committing the unforgivable sin of losing to ATGs like Pacquiao and Mayweather has caused him to get underrated by many. Khan has a ways to improve before I'd pick him over a 2007 Hatton (who was already probably a tad on the decline then).

Despite how limited he was as a fighter, I'd think Hatton's style would be all wrong for Khan. He would swarm him, wear him down and knock him out in the mid rounds imo.

Ricky at the very least will win a decision. But due to Amir's under-developed defence and poor in-fighting, I'll go for a Ricky stoppage in the late rounds.

But Amir in 3 or 4 years may be a different story. I could see Khan's long reach and jab causing some problems.

Amir is so overhyped right now.

The kid improved his game, that much is true, but he has a long way to go before he can master his craft (or be called in his prime).

Looks like Ricky has been retired for too long, hes beginning to get the old school nostalgia treatment from ESB as it seems.

Its too bad actually that hatton isnt fighting any more, I think this fight would have been huge in England

It has more to do with the fact that Khan has mediocre footwork, porous D, no inside game. Basically, he's still really raw technically despite his amateur background. Despite Hatton's flaws, he was a more proven fighter, far better than anyone Khan has faced, and would most likely take advantage of Khan's flaws.

Hatton's biggest weakness is speed and made a career using his size to bully opponents, that wouldnt work with Khan since he is much bigger and blindingly fast. Hatton's power is no better than Maidana's but difference being he knows how to harness his power with accuracy. Ricky would atleast eat 2-3 hard crisp shots just to get inside which is where his only chance of outboxing Khan at due to Khan's lack of inside game. It could be a fight that is determined depending on the referee. Frankly, I think 2007 Hatton is not much different than the Hatton that fought Collazo, it either ends in early TKO for Hatton or Mid TKO for Khan.

Hatton by late KO, seriously Khans defense is ****, lets not forget the chin, and Hatton far had better footwork than maidana and would catch him all night now
