Far too many and I know I wont be forking out for all of them

ITV have a big chance to get boxing back on free TV and I wish they were not going down this PPV route

Nothing wrong with these threads, many boxing fans are find it increasingly difficult to follow the sport because of these fleecing operations aka. PPV's. If fans are being ripped off (and they are) then it's entirely legitimate to criticize.

Yes, Eddie is going to put that fight on regular Sky Sports as a thank you to all the fans who bought AJ's previous PPV's because he's good like that.

Bad comparison mate, Dominos is a ****ing ripoff compared to independent pizza takeaways whose food is actually better and with bigger portions.

This whole "cost of a pizza" argument does me ed in.

Sky is an expensive package, especially when football bores you to tears. Is it really much to ask for that we get fights some interest on the regular Sky platform.

What was the best non PPV card they put on? You basically get Nextgen only cards on there

Spare a thought for our brothers and sisters in the USA. PPV price for Pac v Broner announced as $74.99. Eye-watering.

Jurgen mate you know that it's true,
    You secretly love a pay-per-view,
You doth protest much but should really confess,
Repressing this truth only makes you obsess,
And how can Young Eddie realise his dreams,
If Matchroom goes broke cause your watching streams,

Fans are being ripped off perhaps, but it's been happening for years.

2009 for example. You had to pay for Khan v Barrera, Pacquaio v Hatton, Khan v Kotelnik, Valuev v Haye and Khan v Salita. That's one less than Sky showed on PPV last year, and arguably of a lower quality.

Agree with those saying people moaning about PPV's are the equivalent of someone moaning to themselves. It's like people saying it used to cost two bob to get into the match and now a season ticket is the best part of a grand. And? The world has moved on.

Whenever I read these PPV threads I come away amazed at how much some people are willing to pay for pizza.

Yeah it's like people saying PPV's used to cost £20 back in the day, £30 is nothing just a decent Dominos Pizza dinner. The whiners need to shut up, the world has moved on.

    True enough!

I'm also amazed though at how little some boxing fans are prepared to pay to watch boxing. I'm not saying it should all be PPV, but if you've got a guy who can generate four/five hundred thousand PPV buys, that equates to roughly £9m of revenue that would be given up by having the fight on free to air. Are the likes of Channel 5 really going to stump up enough cash to make that viable? Of course not.
