YPH said he wasn't likely to come back, and Jones was caught 3 times on the same stuff during his career, by a Russian (he didn't want the b-sample tested after), a Swiss and an undisclosed lab. The only reason he's out of his ban is because he made a deal that he doesn't fight as a CW anymore (not being able to make it in a legal way) with the WBA.
So believing Jones was innocent and that he would return to Cruiser is a bit far fedged.

    Why??????

Cruiser weight is surely not the best one out there, but for certain one of the better ones.
Super middle is a truly poor division, and even light heavy is not as loaded as it is cruiser weight. And lets not speak about the big boys' league.
    Nah! There are Usyk,Lebedev,Drozd,Huck,Glowaki,Makabu,Briedis,Ramirez,Afolabi
Dorticos,Shumenov,Kalenga,Mnchu,Durodola,Kudryashov, old guns like Maccanirelli,Flores,Jones,Arslan,Hernandez, young guns like Gevor and so on.
Lots of very interesting matches can be made at cruiser.

They need to change the name of the division to junior heavyweight. Where did the term cruiser weight come from?

Lebedev would be a tough nut to crack for Usyk IMO.Huck would not go the distance with the Ukranian hero and neither would Drozd.

Brook signed to fight Rios on 4 seperate occassions. Rios never signed once.

I'm afraid your hero, PED cheat Rios ducked The Special One. He had flashbacks to failing a drug test in England like he did against shot Pacquiao after he got schooled. :hi:

Jones had been caught at the same stuff earlier in his career, then again in Russia, after which he refused to have the B-sample tested (probably knowing the result already) and got stripped but somehow got the result.
Then he got caught by a Swiss lab, one he himself, the WBA and WADA agreed on and who are about the most neutral people on the face of the earth, on the same stuff AGAIN!
Don King also lost a courtdate and had to pay $1.5M on damages caused by Jones testing positive again and the fight being cancelled. Also the WBA then suspended Jones only for him to be able to return as a HW late last year under strict conditions, to fight at HW only and having to undergo regular random drugtesting.
He's lucky he's from Panama, otherwise he probably wasn't allowed to return at all.

Last time he made CW in a (presumably) legal way was way back in 2011. He won't be returning to that weightclass.

Well the top 3 are quite clearly Bellew, Afolabi and McKenize.

    Bellew beats McKenzie
    McKenzie beats Afolabi
    Afolabi beats Bellew

Usyk is outsandingly good but this doesnt mean that he has to stop every opponent in front of his cannons within the first 3 rounds. He can bang but he doesnt enter the ring with swinging arms and daggers in order to knock him opponent out as soon as possible.
    Overrated??? What can I say,mate???
He has only shown his skills in 8 pro fights so far.Sure,we all rate him that highly due to his great amateur career and the way he has won his pro fights so far.
Based on achievements he still has a long way to go the golden throne of glory and fame.
Briedis is for real,a capable and competent operator inside a box ring, but I just cant see the same God given talent in him which I do see in Usyk.

I was quite impressed with Briedis' performance against teak tough gate keeper Abdul, too. He beat Abdul black and blue.I even thought that he could take Abdoul out of action while watching their fight.
Damn! Abdul has an iron beard. He has fought the who is who of the cruiser weight division, but I have never seen him so outclassed before.
Based on beaten names you are probably right in ranking him higher than Usyk at this point of time,but............................very soon............Usyk will be the nr.1 at cruiser weight.
