    Dwight Muhammad Qawi
    Eddie Mustafa Muhammad
    Matthew Saad Muhammad

Where do these 3 rank all time, in the light-heavyweight division?

I have Qawi at #22; Franklin/Loach at #30 and Gregory deserves a mention although he is not in my top 40 175lbers.

Qawi and Sadd are two of my favorites...head to head they would give anyone a tough night in lightheavy history...and Mustafa had the talent to be one of the very best ever...it just didn't work out that way... IMO

I know a lot have them higher, but I think that is because the division was very popular at the time; and in the USA they did get a lot publicity. Not that any of them were underserving of that, it is just they got more exposure than some of their peers.

A skippy like Andries is what, 17, and Mustafa Muhammad not top 40? Saad, Qawi and Mustafa should be very close together.

In terms of title reigns and defenses, one might argue that it would be Qawi, and Saad at 1 & 2, with Eddie finishing 3rd, but I maintain that Eddie Mustafa was way, way ahead of those two in terms of sheer ability. Eddie could have been so much more successful as a champion. I don't know what his problem was, besides just lack of discipline, but he was a ring srtist, in my opinion, with effective, lethal power to boot. If it's possible, just refernce his fights aginst Marvin Johnson and Lotte Mwale, and maybe even Jerry Martin for proof of how great he could have been.

Eddie mustafa blames his lack of a promotor as to why he kinda underachived.

I have to admit, i am an immense fan of Eddie. His performance vs Johnson was unbelievable, and even if he let it go on a bit long he was fighting so brilliantly it really didn't matter.

Yes, he did let it go on, but it was, to me, such an artistic performance that it was ok. I have remembered this fight over the years for some reason as an example of a fighter who is so much better than his opponent that it was like a clinic on boxing mastery or something.

It was indeed a clinic. Eddie's body work vs a southpaw was absolutely clinical not to mention debilitating.

Saad and Qawi crack my Top 15. Mustapha makes my Top 25 ( in terms of talent, he could easily have been Top 10).
