After Povetkin's mediocre performance vrs. Huck, can he be considered the #3 heavyweight? If it's not Povetkin, then who is it?
Haye is retired until further notice & Thompson is shot On results #3 is probably Povetkin, on current form its Chisora
Povetkin won the fight!atsch Just because he didnt decapitate Huck in one round doesnt mean hes a bum. If that were true 90% of past ATG's are also bums...
I find this question quite tuff... -Povetkin stays #3 in my rankings because of several wins over A-class opposition (Byrd, Chambers, Boswell, Chagaev) but h2h I'd favor several boxers over him. -Haye is an obvious choice, but 1) he's retired and 2) he's only got 1 A-class win (SNV) vrs. a shot boxer. His other wins at heavy are vrs. B and C class boxers. -Chambers would be a decent choice if he was active, but since losing to Wlad nearly 2 years ago he's done next to nothing. -Thompson is also fairly untested. Just 4 wins against limited opposition since his own KO loss to Wlad nearly 4 years ago. -Chisora might be a candidate but officially he's lost 3 of his last 4. -Adamek's lost to Vitali looks particuarly bad given that Vitali's power seems to have diminished. Honestly Adamek hasn't looked good since his win over Arreola years ago. -Helenius got utterly exposed by Chisora. So it's very hard to pick a #3....hold a gun to my head and I'll take Haye or Povetkin.
Give Huck credit. I think it was a good win for Povetkin, got hit with too many jabs but a good win all the same. I still have him 3rd. Haye cant be there until he fights and beats someone in the top 5 of the division. He has the ability but he hasn't got the wins.
:rofl:rofl:rofl didn't look better than either Klitschko on Saturday night...Klitschko hits much harder than Huck and it was the power and accuracy of Huck that bothered him.
Lol maybe YPH, Cunningham, and Lebedev should consider moving to heavy if Huck can move up and fight Povetkin to a draw (should have been scored a draw or a 7-5 win for Povetkin imho). If Cunningham or YPH bulked up some I'd give them a good shot of upsetting this version of Povetkin, as they'd have the height/reach advantages and are better boxers than Huck.
hell noatsch...Vitali would keep Povetkin on the end of his jab-as bad as Vitali looked against Chisora, he won 10 rounds....Povetkin was battered and beat up by a Huck... Numerous times, Povetkin was pushed back and/or hurt by Huck's short jab...Vitali would beat Povetkin easy-your in the minority in your thinking because he simply is not as good.:deal
Tyson Fury Haye it appears will be retired after destroying Gaysora. Gaysora let make it very clear he is not British. Dereck is nothing like a traditional British fighter
