After posting the Oliver McCall-Lennox Lewis II fight in which Oliver had a nervous breakdown and earlier this week watching Andrew Golota-Riddick Bowe II i think it's worth a thread about the 90's Heavyweights.

Some thrilling bouts, some classic moments, from sublime to ridiculous. The 90's heavyweights may of not met the level of the previous colleagues of yesteryear but they weren't half entertaining to watch and to look back on.

Post anything you like about the 90's Heavies. From videos, to thoughts to articles :good

I'm going to post Golota-Bowe. I remember sitting there in front of the TV on a sunday morning watching a re run of the big night of boxing from U.S on sky. Sat there with my dad and even at a young age i knew Bowe was one of top dogs at Heavy. I sat there watching this polish guy smash him to bits. On the verge of a massive win...only to proceed to get himself DQ'd and then a full blown riot starts. Unforgettable.

The 90s heavies were at lot more fun to watch than most of the 80s heavies, the glass was most definitly "half full".

He fought on one of the Klits undercard last year :-(

And there was also this story of him going to car boot sales and selling autographs.

Odd thing when all the black folk started attacking everyone in the ring...what the **** was wrong with them?

Then the riot starts...That Jason guy who attacked with the walkie talky is probably the most scummy person ever to step in a ring.

Tragic story, great fighter with a massive heart.

Thell Torrance should be ashamed of himself tbh (II Fight), He allowed Riddick to take a ridiculous amount of punishment. The commentary on ESPN pointed it out and they were right. Although maybe he allowed Big Daddy to stay in there knowing that the idiot would get himself DQ'd. Riddick was taking a punishment he shouldn't have to take.

From the big bear smile to sitting at a car boot sale selling his autographs...sad story.

He was massively weightdrained in that second fight, he was unrecognisable, he could have been killed in there. He never recovered from it.

Yeah you could see the body at the weigh in. Just lost fat and that didn't look like the Riddick that went to war with Holy. He was a great fighter to watch. Loved his uppercut.

Tbh the second fight...as much as Golota threw it away yet again...Riddick won that on sheer heart. Many men would of caved in but he just kept in there and broke his will.

:lol: @ Golota's response to ref saying i want a clean fight and no sillyness ''I do what i have to do to win''

Emotional **** even though I didn't watch it at the time, non-boxing fans who were around at the time seem to remember this night vividly.

Fantastic KO :happy Who woulda thought it would take another 15 odd years to stop Ruiz again?
