If it was all about looks Ogogo would still have endorsements: Looks obviously help with certain brands but ultimately brands still want to be associated with winners and most importantly athletes who are popular and have a wide reach.
It's not even about looks, it's about the Eddie Hearn and Sky hype machine shoving it down our throats for the best part of a decade. If Joshua was a channel 5 Hennessy boxer, he'd not be anywhere near as well known, but would probably be a better fighter, ironically.
Oh grow up, there’s no point even trying to discuss with fools like yourself. A solid top 15 means nothing? As in he is in the top 15 in the world, better than those from 16 onwards etc, but it means nothing? I’m not going to sit here and try and discuss with someone as thick as you, but anyone who any any understanding of the sport knows Chisora is solid, not exceptional, but solid. Moron.
Solid? He's terrible. The state of the modern HW scene to still include Del in it says it all. I don't know of a solid pro in Boxing who has ELEVEN LOSSES.
Yes, my point is looks are a requirement to acquire so many sponsors and commercial deals. I am not disputing the obvious fact that AJ is noteworthy as an Olympic gold medallist and professional world heavyweight champion boxer.
Bang on. LOL. Fury's got more personality in his bellend than the incredibly bland boring plank Joshua could ever wish for.
Sadly, I don't see AJ winning the rematch. Usyk is just too skilled for him. Even if he makes it into a brawl, Usyk is too smart and still outpoints him. I'm not sure where he goes from another loss to Usyk. It's a shame as would love to see him fight Fury, Wilder & rematch Whyte. There's no shame in losing against Usyk though.
I have always been genuinely amazed that some people prefer Joshua as a person to Fury. Sure, Fury is clearly flawed and contradicts himself constantly - but anyone with an ounce of ability in judging character can see he’s a far more genuine man and a nicer person.
Let's cut the bull... There is no other sport on earth where there is emphasis on the "0". Forget Mayweather and his importance of being undefeated. We all know that 3-4 losses, before Floyd made undefeated a bargain tool, meant you're done. Chisora has ELEVEN LOSSES. Counter it all you want but that's a journeyman, end of. So, even by your logic he'd have NINE losses. Del's chin is what has kept him going. Not his power, not his change in style, his ability to take a shot. That's it.
He said he donated all of his purse to a kids charity, which he never. And he's even brought a book out about mental health, when he has a problem, if you can call it that, at the lower end of the spectrum. And when grilled on it he refused to give answers. He's not a "nice man" or a genuine one. I think this forum has a lot of weekend warriors in it who see Tyson as one of them or like his bravado as they're not like that, and feel he's genuine. Just because he's not corporate doesn't mean he's genuine. He's more straightforward than AJ as he has nothing to lose. AJ must make untold millions from his sponsors, so he's gonna watch his step because it pays to do so. Honestly, Fury fans NEED to look at Boxing as a business. Once you do that, its easy to see why AJ and Fury are how they are and fight where they fight etc.
Joshua is fake and Fury is full of shyte. Don't know who's worse although Joshua's never lied about giving money to charity.
