Joshua is the man who would be 'stepping aside', so he gets to dictate the contract, the conditions of his stepping aside. A Fury v Usyk rematch clause would therefore be off the table, IF Joshua wants to fight the winner in their next fight. Yes, WBC mandatory might mean the WBC strip the winner for being tied to an AJ fight, but that's no loss for AJ at all, since he's not lined up right now to take that belt anyway. Also, I would suggest AJ-Whyte 2 would be a suitable tune-up for AJ and a very lucrative cash out for Whyte. None of this will happen, of course. But it is no more difficult or messy than what will happen.
Which top boxers has AJ knocked out? He's stopped 3 guys around the 40-year mark; fair enough, he flattened Whyte eventually; other than that he hasn't exactly battered anyone else. He got nowhere near sparking Takam, Parker or Ruiz. The myth that AJ is a knockout artist, aside from his first 15 or so bin men and Charles Martin, is part of what sustains his commercial credibility. In truth he just about outlasts most opponents with even weaker stamina than his.
He’s weird. Comes across trying to act all philosophical but just makes himself look even more stupid. Talking about legacy and business plans - he’s a boxer not going on The Apprentice. Just get in the ring and stick it on Usyk you big donut.
He Doesnt know how to set up his big shots...thats why hes not knocking them out. Find it incredible tho people cant see the potential he has to stop almost anyone he faces. Big strong powerhouse...6 foot five...heavyish fast hands. His problem is hes been busy idiotically trying to be a boxer with guys that will always be better boxers than him. Should copy wilders style. I dont think wilder is anywhere near the hardest ever heavyweight puncher....a lot of his knockouts come just as much from people not seeing the punch coming than his power. Joshua doesnt have that kind of power he does have power to wobble anyone tho...change his style and he,ll potentially take anyone out. How hes fighting atm is he sits behind his guard usually the smaller man closes the gap as he blocks then counters...its predictable. You,ll always struggle to knock the top level out being predictable. When he starts widening his stance...the knockouts will come.
