Cherries you actually have to make an effort to pick, so that's too flattering a term for Saul, at best Canelo is a Strawberry or Grape picker. The fight with Rocky Fielding is both Canelo and Golden Boy scraping the absolute bottom of the ****ing barrel. Quite frankly one could even call them bottom feeders for making this match, this is literally the equivalent of taking candy from a baby. This is an appalling, repulsive, bald faced, embarrassing belt grab, so he can have the bragging rights to say he claimed a title in yet another division, and the majority of the casuals will lap it up like simpletons clapping their hands like doting arf arf arfing seals.

Rocky Fielding is a very likable guy, very easy to root for, and managed to snag a belt off of perhaps one of the weakest titlists SMW has seen in quite some time in Tyron Zeuge, who was lucky to escape with a draw against De Carolis a year or so ago, Tyron showed up for their fight thoroughly disinterested, seemingly looking for a reason to get stopped and make his promoter look like an ass, since they were having a dispute at the time, it didn't help that his trainer is recent notorious quitjob artist Juergen Braehmer, sitting there with baited breath, towel in hand and an itchy trigger finger. Rocky is a tad bit heavy handed when facing vulnerable opponents with glass jaws or glass bodies, but aside from that, in ring craftwise, he's absolute ass. Barring him literally running into the ring, grabbing Canelo, pinning him in the corner under his knee, and pounding the daylights out of him until he drops, he has zero chance at winning this match.

Let me make this very clear to you, Callum Smith destroyed him in 1 freaking round, he charged Callum looking to go to war, and a war he got, he was destroyed in 2 minutes and 45 seconds, getting dropped three times, it was an appallingly one sided blowout. He followed up that performance by coming within an inch on a few difference occasions of being brutally KTFO by Christopher Rebrasse, one in a long long line of French featherfists, the man literally cannot crack an egg, he has an 18% KO ratio, HOLY ****!!!:qmeparto: He was dropped hard in the second, and rocked a few more times in the ensuing rounds, quite frankly he probably should have lost that fight, it was close, but Rebrasse did enough to edge it.

The Ryder match many will point to as evidence of his quality, well... not so fast, this was Ryder's first big foray up north from Middleweight, and Rocky is an orthodox fighter, Ryder has had a series of hellacious KO's that's because he's a southpaw killer, being a southpaw himself, he has a wicked right hook, but against most orthodox fighters, he's goes the distance. Well he went the distance, and in most people's estimation, Ryder did more than enough to win the fight in the 116-112 to 115-113 range. So you all understand that right? He was basically dominated by Billy Joe Saunders leftovers, and a Nick Blackwell KO victim. While Ryder is decent, he's just slightly above Spike O'Sullivan level.

So what I'm saying is, Rocky shouldn't have just one L, he should have THREE.

    In recent years:

Uzcategui, A MW dominated by Korobov, went up and destroyed Dirrell.
Ryder, a MW, has went up and destroyed Nielsen and Cox (quicker than Groves).
Truax, a Jacobs victim, beat the living crap out of Chunky, and arguably edged the rematch.
Eubank Jr. dominated old man Abraham, and wrecked the boogieman Yildirim.
Quillin, Jacobs vicious KO victim just shutout J'Leon Love in embarrassingly lopsided fashion.
Murray debatably did enough to earn a draw or a close win against Arthur Abraham as well.
Also perennial glass jawed slight Light Heavyweight ironically nicknamed Iron Nadjib Mohammedi, has recently drained himself down to 168 and dominated Chudinov in a one sided schooling, and got violently robbed in Russia.

All of the scalps that they have claimed are either far superior to or around Rocky Fielding's level. These are far from elite Middleweights, some of them are glorified journeymen, so the idea that the division Champion is now going to make the move north, I guess in an effort to one up Gennady Golovkin, and have shallow bragging rights that he had the cojones to move up a division where Golovkin didn't, the reality is, this is a step down in competition for Canelo and it would be if Gennady Golovkin pursued the same course of action. Super Middleweight is a squalid, pathetic, quivering, sad, washed up bloated jellyfish carcass of a division, its basically bereft of real talent, fighting most of the titlists up there isn't only picking low hanging fruit, its more like brushing aside the rotted grapes to make sure you avoid the vine getting a case of black rot. Purifying the division by wiping out the ocean of paper champions that inhabit that God awful wasteland up there.

Make no mistake. This is the epitome of a BITCH move by Canelo, not a BOSS move.

At this point..... moving up, is taking a step down.:deal:

David Lemieux would obliterate Rocky Fielding, as would Saunders, Derevyanchenko, Jacobs, Charlo, Andrade, Quillin, Quigley, Murata, Golovkin and every other Middleweight with a pulse.

The reality is... he's actually ducking David Lemieux. As well as the rest of the Middleweight Division. But... but.. but GGG is ducking Charlo, yeah... okay.

    This is just ****ing sad.

Also GENNADY GOLOVKIN would be absolutely eviscerated for taking a fight like this. He would be ruthlessly drug across flaming hot coals for agreeing to an atrocity of a match like this, hell even if Fielding was floated as a potential opponent he'd be ruthlessly and mercilessly savaged.

No Ifs, Ands or Buts about it. And You all know the words I say are beyond any shadow of a doubt 100% true, so don't even try to pretend otherwise.

To quote the great H.G.Wells: "The path of least resistance is the path of the loser."

You want to move up to Super Middleweight to make a point and impress people Canelo? Damn, at least take on George Groves or Jose Uzcategui.... Not Rocky mother****ing Fielding.

This is every bit of a joke as the Amir Khan fight... perhaps worse.

Rocky only has a vague weak puncher's chance, an since Canelo is packing Grade A Steel in his mandible, that ain't going to happen. But hey... one can always hope. WAR ROCKY.:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg

Boxing’s Golden Boy!! The ****ers two career performances were a ‘tainted meat’ induced draw that 70% of the population think he lost and SD win where an even higher percentage thought Golovkin won.

Now CLENelo wants to win back fans with this. Wow

And the hate is well deserved, your boy is an absolute cuckold of a fighter for taking a pathetic match like this. Crawford had the balls to move up and take on the man that KO'd Lucas Matthysse, Lomachenko had the balls to move up and take on the number 2 man at Lightweight. Canelo is taking on a glass jawed paper champion, who at best is in the 11-15 range in a weak ass division to begin with. If you want to move up, then move up and make a goddamned impact, not to steal candy from a glass jawed ineptly skilled baby.

Golovkin should fight Paul Smith on the undercard to get respect from @IsaL

On the other hand, GGG took on a Welterweight rather than step up to SMW when he was 'Avoided' by the rest of the MWs.

Yeah, so did Canelo, and? Also that was a last minute replacement since that little ***** Eubank Jr. lost has pen, GGG was backed into a corner. This is evidently a match GB and Canelo pursued.

Great OP, 100% spot on. The hypocritical nature and side picking of today's fan is incredibly annoying. There are threads here saying if Golovkin doesn't fight Charlo next it's a duck, but apparently this is acceptable from Canelo and his team. ****ing shameful.

More DAZN/Hearn :bananaride from you I see. Its okay, you don't have to come riding to their rescue and defense on everything.

You should know the answer by now, he's only one of the most avoided fighters of the last 10 years if you even attempt to refute that, you're being an intellectually dishonest bull**** artist.
