Dude, I like GGG, I have no problem with him, but he's been rated #1 with a lot of guys for years, he has 418 MDLWT title defenses and hasn't fought a good Middleweight yet. He's knocking heavyweights out in the gym and has Kovalev running scared, he will beat anybody from 154-175 and has made $50m. dollars in his last two fights. What's the problem with him fighting somebody good? He already had one gimmie with Martirosyan.

George Foreman said something I always remembered on the Vernon Forrest - Mayorga fight. Ricardo, the nobody starts whaling on the huge favorite as good as he was getting. He said "that's the problem with boxing, they pay you all this money, then they expect you to fight for it."

 

Can you imagine if Golovkin went and fought Rocky Fielding? Can you imagine the hate and ridicule he would receive?

Didn't Canelo just fight the ghost of Chavez Jr & Amir Khan before his fights with Golovkin. I don't care for GGG anymore than Canelo, I'm not really a fan of either, but Canelo having b2b2b2b easy fights in the ghosts of Chavez Jr., Khan even Cotto and okay but not great Smith I don't see why he gets another layup in Fielding with folks like you thinking it's okay, but Golovkin doesn't. It's not like those names I mentioned are a murder's row for Canelo for crying out loud, I'd say Jacobs, inactive up in weight Vanes, Canelo x 2 is just as good as china chin Kirkland, a shell of Cotto, china chin Khan, average Smith, hasn't been relevant in years Chavez, & Golovkin x 2. Which are Canelo's last 7 opponents since 2015.

 

And cotto, mosley and lara; i do think danny jocobs peformance against ggg was that of an elite fighter, weather he is elite will be decided on 27th against derev.

 

The Fielding fight is really bad but he did fight GGG TWICE in a row. Shouldn't we cut the guy a little slack?

 

He vacated the belt to avoid a younger version of GGG.

So he needs to redeem himself by fighting a tough young fighter.
