That's the name of the ref doing the fight. I think Warriors boxing did a good job picking a nameless, florida based ref with virtually zero experience...just the kind of ref you want after the first fight...

Yep, he's a local judge, but in fact, he's a pretty experienced referee, so next time please do your research before you post! Of course he's Florida based like most judges the Florida State Boxing Commission appoints.

He's the one who counted out Banks in the Miranda fight.

He's an accredited referee at the WBA and the WBO, was the ref in one of Caballero's world title defenses and was the 3rd man in the first Tua-Rahman fight if you're interested.

    Here's his officiating record:

They really shouldn't have gotten a Florida ref who has been involved in many Warrior's promoted fights. The appearance of impropriety is never good.

It's a a non-title fight in Florida so it's the Florida State Boxing Commission that appoints the officials because that's the rule. Of course Shinji Yamada from Japan can be a FSBC accredited referee, but the thing is that FSBC judges and referees mostly live in Florida.

I'd like to see fighters/managers actually have some input. Maybe even if they just had the right to 'black ball'. Say one or 2 for refs 4 or 5 for judges in case they get one they really just can't live with. Really, what would be the harm of giving both sides a list and asking if there is someone on it they just don't want? Far different from asking WHO they DO want, though if both sides agreed on that slate, so much the better.

Not saying there is anything funny going on here. We hope that all judges and refs are competent and impartial, but sometimes.......:-(

You think AA looks at that picture and thinks: "I'd have had him out up to his ankles if that was MY punch! Miranda only got him 'half ass out!".

As if being improper and bullshitting their eyeballs out was ever a problem for Miranda's promoters.
