So whats the scenario with Dawson? It looks like he might drop his WBC belt to fight Tarver for the IBF title. And Diaconu and Johnson will fight for the WBC title. The winner of those matches will face each other, that would be the most likely scenario. I'd rather have Dawson rematch Johnson right away, but Diaconu has been waiting for his chance at the WBC belt.

Diaconu still has alot of power. Henry has fought heavyweights, and also came in in the best shape of his life against Diaconu. These are the types of things that the common fan often does no think of. Henry's chin was unbreakable on that night.

Diaconu definately hits harder than Dawson

If Dawson doesn't fight Diaconu, Diaconu automatically becomes WBC champ

This is all really obvious to me. People who deny this have an agenda.

Little update from this morning Montreal's local newspaper:

Since a week, the WBC is aking to Chad Dawson to clarify his intentions. The WBC knows that Dawson has a deal with Showtime
to fight Tarver, but they want a confirmation. Anyway, the WBC has set a purse bid on June 3rd for the next Diaconu's fight! Dawson is invited to participate. If not, Diaconu will automatically become the new LHW champion and the purse bid will be for Diaconu first defense against Glen Johnson.

So, the purse bid will take place on the 3rd of June, right? (Not Diaconu's next fight).

So, if Dawson doesn't take part in the bid, Diaconu fights Johnson for the belt, right? (at a later date)

Yep....the WBC set a purse bid for the next LHW title fight. For sure, Diaconu is involved in it, but against whom? It will be either Dawson or Johnson!

Sorry, if my text wasn't enough clear. I still had the pillow in my face:p

Thanks for the update:good I was hoping Dawson would garner the balls to eventually fight Diaconu, however a fight with Johnson for the title seems more fitting being as Johnson made Dawson his ***** and was blatantly robbed....either way whether the opponent is Johnson or Dawson, Diaconu holds the advantages in every catagory except maybe stamina however to be fair Adi was off for a year and got into a war with Henry(who would be a threat to any LHW)
    GO ADI GO:happy

If I were Dawson's manager I'd rather have him fight Glen Johnson right away, but thats not possible. Dawson is in a win-win situation, who cares if he gives up his WBC belt, the public and everybody wants to see Dawson vs Tarver anyway. Lets hope Dawson returns back to form like he did in his previous fights.

Henry did him a favour for a couple of reasons - he realised he couldn't overdepend on his power and he realised he'd have to be much fitter. This would help him against Dawson.

Henry thought a lot of things for Diaocnu. Hopefully he leaned a lot and finally gets rid of this Dawson guy. :)

    thanks for posting Decebal:good
It's almost time for the Championship reign of Adrian Diaconu:happy
I'm still amazed at the level of doubters there are after witnessing his superior sense of timing and distance:huh Sure we already know his power is top notch, but its the timing, and reflexes that make me think of a slick counter puncher, which isn't his main focus...all these combined with superior ring intelligence and adaptability make for a long title reign....
The only thing that worries me is Diaconus conditioning is mediocre at best..at least for now, as it's abit tough to judge a fighter who had almost a year off, before an epic war

    Cheers:good
