News update on the Diaconu vs Branco fight:

Altough the date in the canadian and romanian press was originally november 8th,it will probably be one week later on november 14th or 15th.
The main aspect is the venue.The financial support Team Diaconu had back in april to make the fight at Bucharest has mostly vanished now.Months have gone by and the Bucharest event is most likely not to happen.If in a week the miracle doesn't happen,Adi will be forced to defend his title either in Italy or in Germany(Branco having both italian and german promoter,or copromoted).This would be an interesting turn of events that could go either for Diaconu or against him,he was relying on his fans to cheer him on vs Branco.The crowd in Italy will be mostly for Branco and in Germany probably still for Branco.Point is the romanians have run out of funds and can't organize the event.Still there is a chance.....Hope they will resolve this in a good manner.
The ideas from this were taken from today's romanian sport paper ProSport.

 

I sometimes think fighting in Romania is a distraction for Diaconu.
How is his father? He was very sick if I remember well.

 

Distraction?Don't know about that,he said the fans cheering on helped him get past the tough moments in the end of the Henry fight.Anyway that might be just for the press.
About his father,he was diagnotised with some sort of cancer(or beggining of) a little before the Henry fight and said his last wish is to see Adi win the title.But it seems that it is either early stage or he is cured cuz I haven't heard nothing.Sadly he probably can't be 100% cured and will have just a few more yers left.I saw him,he seems like a strong man,he can fight the disease,it seems it's from cigarettes but he said he can't quit.Adrian said that this was a big distraction back in april.

I read in a Montreal newspaper today that his father died. In fact, he was dying when the Henry fight happened. That explains some things.
