Of course Henry could win. Like Diaconu, he is a puncher! Two punchers going at each other, trying to impress, of course, either could score the stoppage win. I am not underestimating Henry at all. He is undefeated and his amateur and pro records are not as bad as some think. Some say he is a club fighter or a Mid-Western. Well, once someone beats him, we'll know how bad he is...but so far, he is undefeated!

 

Dawson does not have a good chin. His chin is less than very good. I think it takes a very good chin to make it against the better world-class opponents. Johnson beat him. Diaconu isn't as good as Johnson, but he has a big style advantage over Dawson I think. He could stop him if he lands, I think.

 

Yeah...both are possible and I would agree with both.

I think Dawson has at least a 60% chance of winning against Diaconu. We just don't know precisely how Diaconu's chin would fare with the accummulation shots. Not least, we don't know whether he can take those great shots to the body.

I can see Diaconu beating Dawson, but I cannot see him beating Johnson. Not only is Johnson better in absolute terms than Dawson, but where Diaconu had a style advantage over Dawson, he doesn't have one over Johnson. I think Johnson has as much as an 80% chance of beating Diaconu.

 

Well, so am I, not because Henry is better, but because Henry is a puncher and if he lands a big one first, it's game over. At least against Dawson, Diaconu would have at least a couple of rounds to do something...against Henry, it could all end in the first round! This is allthemore true considering their both punchers who are going in to win and to impress! This will be an exciting fight!:good

 

After watching the great performance Glen Johnson put on Dawson Sat. night, I think its safe to say when Chad gets in there with The Shark, he will literally be eaten alive.

I knew Dawson's chin couldn't take it. Adamek showed that & Johnson proved it.:deal

 

Dawsons chin couldn't take it, yet he literally owned Adamek and got a decision win against a highly touted Johnson.

Dude, saying Diaconu would wreck him is like saying Diaconu is > Adamek & Johnson. No way man, both Adamek and Johnson would stop Diaconu, and so will Chad Dawson given the chance.

Styles make fights! Adamek and Johnson might very well be better than Diaconu but that doesn't mean Diaconu would do worse against Dawson. Anyway...Johnson beat Dawson...so...

 

If his chin is so very bad, then why didn't a future HOF'er like Glenn stop him? Why didn't Adamek put him down and out?

 

Glenn rocked him bad and almost had him going down and Adamek hesitated - should have finished him. I think someone like Dawson has more power and is a more dangerous puncher than Glenn or Adamek, though. He has a lesser chance of winning than Glenn, but he has a greater chance of stopping Dawson.

 

Isn't Diaconu the shark?
