Cotto is far superior speed-wise and skill-wise.He will win if he can handle Margarito's relentless pressure.I think Cotto will pass the test.He is improving all the time.I keep going back to Margaritos poor performance against Williams and think there's no way he beats Cotto.Maybe it was an off night or maybe he has learned from it,its hard to know - the Cintron fight didn't really show me anything.Cotto by comfortable decision

    Youth- Cotto
    Power- Cotto
Stamina- Margarito (although body shots from Cotto will change that)
    Chin- Margarito
    Speed- Cotto
    Endurance- Margarito
    Experience- Cotto
    Skill- Cotto
Reach- Duh! look it up on boxrec
    Height- Duh!
    Hunger- Equal
Size- Duh! again Isal you are a **** poster
Workrate- Margarito when fighting a stationary target. However, Cotto wont stay in the same place.

    Youth Cotto
    Power Cotto
    Stamina Margo
    Chin Margo
    Speed Cotto
    Endurance same as stamina
Experience Cotto he's been in more big fights so he has more big fight experience than Margo
    Skill Cotto
Reach Margo not that it will be a factor since he doesn't fight tall it will actually hurt him in this fight becuase of his long lean body.
    Height Margo
    Hunger even
Size a better one would have been strenght I would give Cotto the edge
    Workrate Margo

And so might Cotto but he has enough toughness and heart to stay the course - i doubt he makes the same mistakes as Cintron.
    Williams won afterall

They both took a beating.:deal But the difference is that Williams won and Margo lost.

2+2=4 in math, this kind of logic is very fallible in boxing!

Not "very" when applied within a weight division and relatively short periods of time. Probabilities.

Seeing as how Margarito never fought those two this is entirely SPECULATION.

For the record Zab Judah struggled with welterweights who did considerably worse than Margarito and Cintron. Zab at 147 had some issues with bigger opponents who were not discouraged by his speed. Shane Mosley was not a huge puncher at 147 and had to work for lots of decisions. DLH in his prime had many a close call that could have gone either way.

My point being that speculation is garbage. The only way to really know is have them fight! (Providing they are contemporaries)

No comparison C. The damage Tony put on Williams was much harder. Williams looked ready to go late in that fight. Of all the clean shots Q hit Paul with I don't remember any of them shaking him the way Margarito did in the 10th or 11th. It's been awhile since I've seen it.

If Williams looked ready to go as you say it. Then why did he dominate the 12th round?

He wasn't willing to give up and I think Margarito was exhausted from trying to get the stoppage in the 11th. I'm going off of memory here. Will have to look at it again.

Yes margo did blow his load in the 11th and had now answer for Williams in the 12th who outworked him. I still think Williams out smarted Margo and let him punch himself out in the 10th and 11th so he could come on strong in the 12th. Williams fought a great fight that night.
