In almost every Mayweather interview, he continually presses on how Alex Ariza was the reason for Pacquiao's success. I've heard him say over and over again, "When Ariza was with him, Pacquiao was knocking out everyone. When Ariza left, where'd the ko's go?" At first, I thought it was just a mind game, but he's sounding really genuine, and I think he truly believes it. Mayweather strongly believes Pacquiao's ability was because of the strength and conditioning regime from Ariza. It appears he thinks 1) Pacquiao is no longer as powerful as he was with Ariza 2) That Floyd himself will be stronger than ever before due to having Ariza Are these two potentially dangerous beliefs?...possibly, because both may turn out to be false. What do you think of Floyd expecting a lesser version of Pacquiao and believing Ariza will get him in the best shape of his life?
Mayweather doesn't know what he is talking about now he has completely lost it He thinks Pac is finished for his sake he better hope that is true
I've thought about that but I don't believe Ariza gave him KO's. I think Ariza helped him move up in weight comfortably along with Pac's relatively thick frame. But beyond that, I can't say Ariza is the reason for the KO's. The last two opponents he beat the **** out of were, not coincidentally, at a catchweight.
Manny Pacquiao is not a Welterweight. He's very far out of his natural weight class. He would make 135 with ease. 130 is not out of the question either. We're looking a guy who could potentially be fighting at 3 weight classes above his real class. So if you're wondering where the power went it's natural for much bigger men to take your shots better than guys your own size.
People forget to mention that Ariza is better for young fighters. Pac got rid of him because his body stopped responding well to him. Ariza was using a ton of plyometrics and Pac's cramps where getting extremely bad from the conditioning regime, to the point it was bothering him during fights. His stamina seemed slightly shot as well. I've compared the stats from like 2012 to now, and his stamina is a lot better now than it was then. He averaging more punches a round, higher landing %, and increasing more per fight while also averaging more a round. Ariza got mad that Pac stopped listening to him and his training, I think there was a reason for that. Once Pac got rid of all the plyometics, his cramps stopped bothering him as much. I think overtraining is a huge risk here with Ariza. Alex doesn't even know Mayweather's body and how his body will respond, let alone at near 40 years old. I'd rather Floyd do what he's always done. Don't fix what ain't broken.
He has to gorge himself just to reach 145. If he started a normal diet again 135 is made with ease. Lightweight could be made easily even now. 130 could be made too. He's not much bigger now than he was when fought Morales for the first time.
It makes me really nervous. I fear most of Floyd's stamina and speed. He's already going to be fighting at a faster pace than he's used to.
Well where have the KO's gone? And Pacquiao has been KOed himself also and been fed a bunch of feather fisted opponents since. What are we to deduce about this situation? It isn't a myth that the KO's stopped.
word of advice: don't ever tell a woman to calm down. It's usually does the opposite. I'm chill right now, so it doesn't bother me, but I'd refrain from using those words.
Pac has been fighting guys with iron chins and fighters who have never been stopped and the fact he is much smaller than them is anther thing. clottey, maragrito, jmm, mosley, jmm, rios all those guys have iron chins and have never been stopped
