If Hopkins wants this fight, he will get it. And it looks like he does. I would be surpised if he pulls it off against Adonis. I mean Shumenov and Murat is one thing but Adonis another.

If he beats Adonis in his own backyard, I'm going to have to start to really analyze Hopkins' place in the All time rankings.

What he's done up to this point is nothing short of incredible. To take on such a dangerous fighter like Stevenson in his adopted country is extremely admirable in and of itself. Him beating STevenson would be another great accolade to put in his ATG resume.

I'd favor Stevenson as well. He's really progressed into a good boxer with a pretty good jab. He obviously has one punch KO power as well.

I'd favor Adonis probably 65-35. I've learned never to get too shocked though when Hopkins beats guys he has no business beating.

I's favor Adonis like 85-15. Adonis is just levels above anyone Hopkins has fought. Pascal is the only one even approaching Adonis' level and he still isn't. Adonis can not only bang but he can box. He's also got the hand speed that has always troubled Hopkins. But yeah, if he beats Adonis, he has to move up the atg rankins.

^I disagree with an 85-15 type of odds setting, but I do agree with you that this would be the best and most dangerous fighter that Hopkins has ever faced aside from a young Roy Jones in 1993.

Stevenson is the naturally larger man, he's much stronger than Bernard, and as you mentioned he has excellent handspeed for a LHW. After a second thought on it, I'd probably favor Adonis 70-30 maybe 75-25 in a matchup with Hopkins.

The only real matchup I want to see at 175 is Kovalev vs Adonis but there's obviously some roadblocks that are in the way for that fight to occur at this point.

Ya'll had better start thinking about BHOP's new positioning on the ATG now, because if you wait too look, it'll make you're head hurt and maybe burst.

This thing is real and it's going to happen. May be BHOP's last fight. Maybe not. Expect BHOP to go all out and use every little trick in the book against Stevenson.

Stevenson is strong, but not so young and may be 37 by fight time.
He is some what skilled, but not overly so.
He has a big punch, but limited punch output and variety.

BHOP might very well lose this fight, but it should be a hell of a fight with Hopkins probably going all out for a last hurrah.

Obviously Kovalev and his management prefer this arrangement and wish to wait to see who comes out on top. So, they positioned themselves across the street to sit back and watch.
