I used to see thread after thread about how Floyd would beat anybody from 130 to about 160, and now people are saying that arguably one of Floyd's best wins, (Corrales), is no better than Pac's win against Barrera in their first fight.

This would be UNHEARD of a year ago.

 

He's just not in the limelight much anymore. Before Jones was knocked out he wasn't getting much press, either.

Everyone respects his talent.. but people are just pissed off with him. He could have proved his ATG status in the WW division.

 

PBF was never respected here he was the most hated fighter on ESB. Which is what made it even sweeter to be a fan because before every fight people said he would lose and after every victory you had a chance to rub in the haters faces which made them hate him even more.:rofl

Has he ever lost in a poll when he has had a big fight? Maybe Oscar, and other than that most people this he is gonna win his fights.

The Hatton poll was close he was going to pressure PBF until he quit, The Gatti poll was close he was too much for PBF had to much heart, Oscar was going to knock him out it never ended.:-(

 

people will always question his resume(rightly & wrongly),but his talent HAS to be respected,he is simply a brilliant fighter.

Floyd is just not liked, people ***** and cry about his resume but it was really pretty good, they can really only complain about his fights at 147 fight in which he took on Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir and Hatton Not a walk in the park which only goes to show what I have been saying all along...It has little to do with who he actaully fought but more to do with who he is..Perfect example is the Judah fight...OH man the outrage that happened here when he fought Judah was unreal, but after he beat Judah, Judah was a GREAT fight for Cotto??? How the **** does that work???

Thing is even had he fought Margo and Cotto nothing would have changed the people that are bitching now would still be bitching, as I stated the four fights that Floyd had at welter wasnt hand picked, one current undisputed welter champ and the guy that he beat, two excellant jr welters...Its no different then Pac moving up in weight and fighting guys that moved up as well...Its the same ****ing thing...Difference is they didnt have an aveage age of 35 like the guys that pac fought..Calzaghe did the same thing fighting Hopkins at lt heavy...

The fact that floyd has little respect has more to do with him fighting and beatting so many Latino fighters, and this being a very pro latino website:hey....If one was to visit other sites Floyd dont get AS MUCH hate. Besides the history books will love Floyd even if he never fights again.:good

 

I bet he will not make it even to be a HOF ... leave along ATG
