At least I acknowledge Floyd's ability. You hardcore *****s could never acknowledge Manny's ability. A 33 year old defensive minded Floyd Mayweather is not the 22 year old offensive minded Mayweather with true KO power at the weight.


Morales beat Pacquiao and looked good against Maidana because at his heart he is still an expert boxer. And against fighters that are limited in that area like Pacquiao and Maidana he can look good against them.

Put him in the ring with a Zahir Raheem type fighter. Like a Timothy Bradley, Amir Khan, or even Lamont Peterson type fighter, and he'd quickly be looked at as a finished fighter. Because they can box from the outside and counter, and because of Morales diminished reflexes and speed and wouldnt be able to cope just like he couldnt cope with Raheem.


Put him in there with a guy who only knows how to come forward, and he can land right hand leads all day. Just like he did with Pacquiao.

And all things considered Floyd is the better puncher. Pacquiaos technique is waay below floyd and the difference in the power generated can not make the up the difference.

 

I've acknowledge Manny Pacquiaos body attack several times in this thread. Man you really are a whiny ***** when it comes to Pacquiao.

As you can see, Hearns started off his furious assault with a jab to the body overhand right. Then finished the fight with 2 jabs to the body and an overhand right. The jabs to the body completely froze Duran in his tracks.




Seriously basically your argument would be like saying why dont more fighters use the check left hook, or why dont more fighters lead with the right hand.


You have to be good to use those punches, just like you have to be good to use the jab to the body.

 

So 2005 Morales looked good against a guy like Pacquiao, but if you put that fighter in with a G like Amir Khan, he'd get exposed.

Styles make fights. Amir Khan would outspeed Morales from the outside, and his right hand would be nuetralized. Against Pac, Pacquiao throws combinations but always leaps in to close range, as to why he was so easily countered by Marquez and Morales. Marquez would simply lean back and Pacquiao would miss and he'd get brutally countered. Watch the Maidana and Pacquiao fights with Morales. All Morales did was lean to the left and throw the over hand right, it couldnt miss.

Its why Morales got schooled by Raheem, but came back weight drained against Pacquiao and still won the first half of the fight until he finally gave way.

Morales was shot at that weight and Margarito was never that good of a fighter.

Mayweather would have blitzed Morales out sooner be it body shots or any shot he decided to use that night.

 

You watch the Hearns video? Pretty much ever right hand he landed was set up by the jab to the body. :good
