It still baffles me why Cottoe refused to get a proper and experienced boxing trainer for the biggest fight of his career.

Fair enough. I can't argue with you post too much. However, I don't think Cotto has ever been anything special. Sue me.

Cotto was going through so many things but many would have not notice since he is not a very outspoken person like other fighters. He clearly undestimated Manny and got trick of being the bigger guy. I think with all the problems he was going through and even lack of sparring and intense training and mentally not being focus put more focus of just making weight. Freddie took advantage of all the things Cotto was going through and that is why this fight was push so fast, yet Cotto not even being fully heal from the Clottey fight as well. Bob knew Manny was his new money maker and what not better to take advantage of Cottos situation.

he put pac vs cotto because it was a win/win regardless of the outcome, if cotto had won he would be right back on top at ww and it would probe pac had no business above 140 and he probably would have moved down.
You act like they conspiracytricked him into a fight when he was at the weakest point ever. Cotto boxed well early but manny is just better, if they fought now at 154 with steward the outcome would be similair maybe a decision this time.

    Mayweather's resume
Mitchell - KO'd by Tszyu twice
Judah - KO'd/ruined by Tszyu. Loss to Bumdomir
Baldomir - Loss to Clottey. Only good victory was over Judah and shot Gatti. Hasn't beat anyone good.
Hatton - Looked like crap vs Collazo, arguably lost.
Marquez - Out of weight range. Lost to Pacquiao
Mosley - Coming off 1 1/2 year layoff. Lost to Wright and Forrest.
Ortiz - Quit against Maidana, Drew with Peterson, Almost was stopped by Berto.

That's because he isn't. He shamelessly ducked Floyd @ 140. Judah was giving him the business before he started to hit low. Shane had him running for dear life in a fight I though he should have lost. Slow assed Margarito stopped him.

What has he really done in his career other than beat up on second rate opposition?

Floyd wanted no part of Margarito and Cotto, and retired just to avoid them.

Pacquaio beat both of them badly.

The Clottey, Cotto and Margarito that showed up to fight Pac beats everybody that showed up to fight Floyd at 147.

The Margarito that showed up to fight Pac would probly beaten the Oscar that showed up to fight Floyd.
