Lol , such an idiot . No logic . Who cares if he was ranked #1 at the time ? Pavlik was ranked #1 at MW for over a year.

When did Cotto ever beat the #1 guy in any division that he's competed in?

It was a catchweight fight so there has to be an asterisk next to this W. At the end of the day, welterweight has a limit of 147lbs and this fight was not contested @ the welterweight limit. Therefore, it was not a welterweight fight.

Baldomir was the *lineal* welterweight champion. Cotto has *never* held that title.

    Baldomir > Cotto

That fight was stopped on a cut, and IIRC, Judah may have been up on the scorecards...

    1) There is NO opinion here. The welterweight limit is 147lbs. Pacquiao Cotto was NOT contested @ the 147lb limit.

    2) Floyd's win over Baldomir is of a better quality than Paquiao's win over Cotto.

    3) I guess you missed the terms "IIRC" and "may" in my quote. Please learn how to read.

    4) There is NO opinion here. Briggs beat the Man which makes Briggs the Man. This is not up for debate...

you just said you didn't say these things?

now you say you did say these things? so what if berto-ortiz wasn't contested at the limit, ortiz is still the best active WW not named pac.

yes you think bald is better because he has a lineal title to his name whereas cotto, burley and langford do not.

briggsd was never the premiere hw in the world, at no point was this ever the case. have you seen the fight with foreman? how did you score it? I'd love you to watch that fight and conclude that briggs is the hw champ. fuk me that thought is so laughable I must conclude you're tolling.

Pac's 147 resume is very overrated.

like most people who follow the sport, I struggle to comprehend these viewpoints other than assuming the guy is new to the sport or a troll.

Lay off the Crack. You like to put words in people's mouths. I know what I said and what I didn't say.

I don't know if Berto Ortiz was contested @ 147lbs or not and I don't care as it's irrelevant to the topic @ hand.

    No.

I think the Baldomir win was better for Floyd than the Cotto win was for Pacquaio because of the extenuating circumstances surronding Baldomir and Cotto @ the time those fights took place.

    Context is important.

    WTF are you talking about?

Briggs BEAT THE MAN @ HW. That makes Briggs THE MAN @ HW.

    1 + 1 = 2

What is it about this simple concept that you FAIL to uinderstand?

i don't think you do know what you said since you later denied saying it and then backtracked when I quoted you.

well you think pac-cotto was not a legit WW fight cos it was at 145. ortiz-berto was also at 145. I don't know about you, but I think ortiz is clearly the best active WW not named pac so you can shove your catchweights up your arse.

so what extenuating circumstances lead you to believe that baldomir is a better win than cotto :rofl

how did you score holyfield-moorer 1? how did you score foreman-schulz? how did you score foreman-briggs? only a blind man would think the officials were right on all 3 of these cards and hence only a blind man would think briggs was the premiere hw.
