Wrong again *******. I've long suspected boxers of being on PEDs when the whole baseball scandal began. It really brought my attention to it and thought that if they did it in baseball they could do it even easier in boxing with its lax testing practices and I was proven right with the whole Mosley fiasco. I unlike you love the sport and realize that no one boxer is bigger than the sport and that better testing is good for the sport and should be implemented ASAP. If it was Pac, Haye or Wlad who was calling for better testing in boxing now I'd be all for it. I wouldn't be against it because my favorite boxer is against it like you are, you're out of your mind if you think I would. I'm a boxing fan first and a fanboy second.:deal

Never asked before is irrelevant. Mike Tyson did for his fight with Holyfield because he suspected him of use and it turns out he was right because Holyfield's name has been brought up numerous times about roids. Also Zab Judah did the same when a possible fight with him and Mosley was being talked about.

and other have admitted using peds while they were passing the tests.

I agree it has to be across the board but its just not possible. Boxing isnt an NFL or NBA. I just dont see how you could implement at all levels. For me a bare minimum for now should be all world title fights. You make that a standard procedure and it might just have an effect on those on the way up telling them that you will have to go though random testing at some time.

And thats what I dont understand why people just ignore drugs in boxing. If people are juicing in other sports then there is practically not a chance that boxers are not juicing. Sport is competitive in its nature and some athletes will do what it takes to get ahead. Olympic Athletes are juicing trying to beat that level of testing which tells you that people will do what it takes to win.

And Pac isn't a control freak?:rofl:lol: 10 million dollar a pound over the limit ring a bell??:deal The fact is PBF is atleast doing somthing to make for better testing in the steroid era and not making excuse as why he can't test. Year round testing would be hard to do and is damn expensive. Who's gonna pay for it? On the other hand testing during training camp up to the day of the fight can be done rather easily and can be paid for by the networks, fighters or the promoter.

So if Floyd is that concerned about opponents being on drugs, why didn't he ask for De La Hoya to be tested who knowingly covered up his own drug tests?

And if OSDT is so effective, how did Marion Jones beat it yet got caught by urine testing, the same testing they do to all boxers now?

He is correct Olympic style testing is all year round.. I think in oder for that to work fighter would have to agree too have more than one fight a year, in order for that idea to work.

He's not as irresponsible of outright accusing anyone like Floyd is. He merely said he's suspicious based on Floyd's retirements or vacations or long periods of time where he's OFF. Conte feels that's a sign of "cycling off" of PED or other illegal enhancement drugs.

This has already been covered designer drug change everyday,, Not to mention Marion was using Clear, which is not being used anymore nor can you find anyone that has it..

In other word designer drugs come and go. whats being use this year may not be the drug of choice a year from now.

So answer the 1st question. Why didn't Floyd ask Oscar for a drug test? Oscar has covered up his won tests.

Likewise HGH is almost impossible to test for (what is it, 4 athletes now?) and we don't know about other "untestable" drugs that are being used. It's often said that PED users are always 1 step ahead of the testers and that only an idiot would actually be caught...

It's not that simple...even with the agreement of "FLOYD's TESTING" we are still waiting for the fight to happen. It's only a little more likely that the fight will happen since PAC's agreed to the tests...no one can make Floyd do what he doesn't want to do.

The best thing boxing could do is start a biopassport program like in cycling to track hematocrit levels. I think most dopers now will be using stamina enhancements like EPO and autologous blood doping rather then the old roids.
