I'm sick of anti Floyd Mayweather threads. The guy is awesome, you can't debate it. Anyway who watched him inside the ring can only marvel of how he adapts to and beats his opponent hands down.

He was a 3 division champ and a title holder in 2 extra divisions and yet he was always 'the bigger man'. Lmfao.

That being said he has been a dirty, dirty cherry picker for the last few years. This JMM cherry is the ripest, most succulent cherry yet.

You are a ******. De La Hoya was far better against PBF than Pac man.

Not Pacman's fault though. DLH handled the weight VERY BADLY for that fight. He could have made 147 without too much bother if he'd done it the right way. Instead he made about 145 2 months before the fight and was executed by the brilliant pacman.

I'll give you (+12) for Pacquiao

    ....and (+7) for Mayweather......

......ahh, but you conveniently forget that DLH had to drop 7 lbs to make the weigh limit for Pacquiao....

    12-7=5

So we can really say that it was a (+7) for Mayweather and a (+5) for Pacquiao......actually making it a bigger feat for Mayweather.

.....and that really does'nt tell the whole story, as it takes a bigger toll on a fighter to come down in weight than it does for a fighter going up.

How's that for some basic math?:D

why do many compare manny's fight with oscar to floyds fight with oscar....i mean, you can cry about the weight all you want, but the real talk should be about how many had floyd losing that fight, while oscar didnt even win a round vs manny...

Yup. I had it a draw being generous to Mayweather. He won the last 3 rounds I will give him that, Oscar got tired.

Wow do you suck at math. The minus should be a plus. 12 + 7, not 12 - 7. You're proving the opposite argument to the one you're trying to make.

I dont think he's doing actual math. I think hes trying to make a point about how Oscar had to come down and be drained?

    I think.

    He provd himself against

    Genaro Hernandez
    Manfredy
    Augustus
Corrales ( Undefeated killer who was ducked by everyone at the time )
Carlos Hernandez ( if i remember correct, Floyd fought with a broken hand )
Castillo rematch ( he didnt have to take the rematch but he did to prove the critics wrong )
Gatti ( alot of people actually picked gatti )
    Delahoya
    Hatton

Floyd has proved himself time and time again.

Pac had fought just once at 135 then moved 2 divisions up and fought ODLH at 147. Floyd had been fighting at 147 for years, he moved 1 division up and fought Oscar at 154. Pac was a huge underdog vs Oscar, Floyd was highly favored to win vs the same Oscar!:yep

When you look at it objectively, Pac has been climbing the ring in the mid-140's for a while now.....
....he's actually entered the ring weighing 144 lbs for his 130 lbs fights.....

All Pacquiao did for the DLH fight was gain 4 lbs of muscle.......

If DLH was coming into his welterweight fights years ago weighing above 160 lbs, you would think that as a junior middleweight he was actuallly entering the ring well above 160 lbs.....

In the Pac fight, DLH entered the ring at 147 lbs, meaning he was entering the ring at more than 13 lbs less than he had ever entered the ring for years....

When you factor DLH's weight entering the ring, having lost over 13 lbs and mostly muscle, one not need wonder why he was a punching bag vs Pacquiao......

To summarize, both fighters fight night weight in comparison to their previous fights, Pacquiao gained 4 lbs of muscle......DLH lost at least 13 lbs and maybe more.

    Soak that in friends!
